Great stay in a quiet place, wish I had more time to hang out with the host and their chickens but needed to drive from the early morning for most hikes! Could use a larger bed sheet to fit the queen, and some more pillows, but no big deal

This property offers a tranquil get away from the city of Bolzano. Its natural landscape and hand worked orchards is breathtaking. Although it was winter, we had the opportunity to enjoy previously harvested and well stored apples. Joseph, Annie and their family were very warm and welcoming. They offered us a glimpse of their culture and lifestyle which to us, is always a treasurable experience.

Very enjoyable! We stayed in the Katharina apartment with 2 bedrooms, 1.5 bathrooms and combined kitchen/dining area. The rooms were clean and comfortable, the view from the balcony was spectacular, and the location was perfect. The Pichler’s were very warm, welcoming and helpful (you must sample their homemade apple cider, wine, schnapps, and jams). You can order fresh bread to be delivered to your door each morning. We enjoyed taking a leisurely walk through their apple orchards, getting a tour of the herb garden, and feeding the chickens. It is a short drive to the cable cars to the Alpe di Suisi near Bolzano and Mendelpass near Caldaro for spectacular views and hiking, as well as many more pleasurable sights and activities in the surrounding areas. Even though Mr./Mrs. Pichler speak primarily German, they attempt English and their daughters speak English. If the couple we traveled with did not know a little German, we would have found the use of a translation book/program helpful. Overall, it was an experience I would highly recommend. We will definitely stay there again the next time we travel in the area.
