We had an amazing two week stay at the Black Rose in June! We have traveled a lot and this property is stunning...a beautiful villa above a working vineyard with spectacular views out over the wine country. Every detail is attended to at this property by the charming hosts/owners Laura, Ezio, and Paola. Fresh fruit on arrival, high end bath products, fluffy robes, a perfectly outfitted kitchen, a work out room, pool with large umbrellas and a breathtaking view, sauna, massage table, Jacuzzi…you name it…this place had it! We truly felt like family by the end of our stay…they even helped me recover my lost wallet that I accidentally dropped at local grocery store because I didn't speak Italian! We used this spot as a central location and did day trips to Cinque Terra, Milan, Turin and several wineries and local villages. It is a perfect jumping off spot to explore the vineyard region and it’s many hilltop villages, castles and restaurants. It is hard to convey our feelings about this stay, but we would say it was MAGICAL! We highly recommend this property if you are visiting the area. You won’t be disappointed!
