About this house rental

The "Timo" apartment is one of the three apartments that are part of the "encantea" holiday home. The large farmhouse, recently renovated, is a location where you would like to stay longer than a simple holiday! The apartment "Timo" is at just 2 Km from the Historical Centre of Lucca, in a green and quiet area but close to everything.. A large pool of 14x7 metres, in the middle of the big garden of 2 hectares, is available for the guests.
Each apartment has a private place at the pool with umbrella and sun loungers.
Characteristic and typical country house amongst green fields only 2 km from the historical walls of Lucca and close to the most important cities of art in Tuscany. A romantic and comfortable environment and ideal to spend an unforgettable holiday.
The apartment "Timo" is on the first floor, and is perfect for four people. The day area, the kitchen, the two bedrooms and the bathroom have been furnished with care and with an eye for detail: the apartment is comfortable and romantic, ideal for your relaxing moments.
For the guests there are two bedrooms: one double bedroom and the other with twins beds.
Outside, in front of the big garden, is available a reserved place with table and chairs where you can enjoy lunch or dinner during your stay.

Giovanna was the most outstanding hostess! She gave us a thorough orientation upon arrival, provided a map and suggestions for things to do, made reservations on our behalf, was available to answer questions as needed and gave us access to her herb garden:) Timo is a 2-bedroom, 1 bath apartment which was perfect for our family of 4. I strongly suggest booking a private chef to prepare local cuisine. This was one of the best experiences of our trip. We hope to come back again soon. Grazie!

Property is well equipped and well situated, close enough to town but far enough to enjoy the peace and quiet. Giovanna is the most welcoming host we have ever experienced. We would come back just to enjoy her hospitality again.

Encantea and Giovanna made this a trip to remember! Encantea offered the best of both worlds! A beautiful, well cared for property in a countryside setting.. and with pool! Yet within 5-10 mins of the Old Town wall and all its history and charm! Giovanna is a fabulous host and. True pleasure to meet!

Appreciated that we had assigned outdoor areas including the sun loungers and dining table. You pay for aircon usage but we only paid €20 for about an hour a day for a week! Very friendly and helpful hosts. Beautiful views. Would definitely recommend Encantea for a relaxing Tuscan getaway!

Gracious host that is on property to ensure we have everything we need. Property is as described and more. Lots of space to relax and enjoy. The pool is definitely an added plus during the hot summer months. We utilized the AC during the hot days of late June and it kept the apartment nice and cool the entire week. Quick drive to Lucca (free parking right outside of the city walls) and central location to explore the Tuscan region. We would definitely stay here again when in the region.

Great stay, beautiful country property. A bit far from town, but manageable on foot and bike. We rented bikes and it only took about 10 minutes to get to the wall of the city, about 25 to walk. The property is across street from many bike and walking trails along the river. Lucca is a picturesque small city thats great to stroll and dine in. We climbed the tower and on a whim visited the torture museum-which was both disturbing and fascinating. We most enjoyed biking around and into the city. Giovana was very kind, patient and attentive and quick to help us with anything. I imagine the property would be perfect in warmer months when the pool is open. We visited Florence, Pisa and Rome also. All well worth it. Italy is amazing, we can’t wait to come back!

If you are looking for a quiet Italian escape, with a large beautiful pool only a short walk to a stunning medieval walled town then this is the place. Geovanna and Francesco will look after you. Local pizza restaurant a short walk, bike hire nearby. Everything we were looking for.

My partner and I, along with our one-year-old son, enjoyed 5 days and nights at the property. It is located a good 20 minutes walk from the city walls of Lucca but only 5 minutes by car. If, like us, you enjoy cycling then this is a perfect location - set in beautiful countryside outside of the city which is easily accessible and offer a range of sights, bars and restaurants. The city is great to wander around and the city walls are perfect for cycling. We fell in love with Lucca and loved the amount of space in the grounds of the property. Our son could roam around away from any traffic and we could all enjoy the beautiful pool. We were also able to use the barbecue onsite and Giovanna was an excellent host - always available to answer any questions and to help us with booking bikes. Perhaps the property we stayed in - Timo - was slightly dated but nevertheless, it was spotlessly clean, spacious enough for the 3 of us and featured hot running water and air conditioning. We would certainly stay again!

We stayed as a family of 4 people in the Timo apartment . The owner was there to greet us on arrival and was very helpful , giving us useful information about the area. The area is very peaceful and a short 5 minute journey to Lucca. Lucca is a beautiful town with lots to see and do. We really could not fault our stay. The property is very conveniently close to a supermarket, butchers , restaurants , petrol station. All very handy. The local pizza restaurant was excellent- try it !

What a find this place is - better than I expected - beautiful apartments and grounds and pool are superb - you can walk into lucca takes about 35 mins - but to be honest it's so nice to eat at the apartment and sit outside looking at the beautiful surroundings

This review is written by a family of 4 (children aged 10 & 11) staying in May 2017. We broke down the review in sections that were important to us when choosing a rental. Outside: WOW, true Tuscany! Even better than the photos. Acres of space, beautiful gardens, amazing views. The gardens are beautifully kept. There were several sections to enjoy including the large clean pool, lounge/sunning area, outdoor dining, and open fields. We appreciated the owners take great care to ensure each guest has a designated space of their own. The outdoor areas provided shade cover. Our boys loved playing football in the open field then going for a swim the pool. We had very memorable family dinners under the portico. Inside: We stayed in Timo with 2 bedrooms. The children had their own beds in a shared room. Beds were very comfortable. The bathroom was spacious. The views from each window were fabulous. Kitchen was very well equipped. The apartment was very clean and quiet. Location: Just outside of Lucca - wonderful town to visit for shopping, dining, etc. This was our 2nd location on our Italy trip and a welcome change from the hustle and bustle of Rome. There was a grocery store, restaurant, bakery, and ice cream within walking distance. We arrived by train and did not rent a car but used taxi service too and from the villa. The villa is just outside Lucca, very quiet with views of the mountains. Owner Communication: Giovanna was absolutely wonderful. Prompt with email reservations and inquiries. She helped us with arranging taxis, groceries, information, etc. Overall: We would absolutely stay in this villa again and would highly recommend it for a restful stay with plenty to see and do in Lucca. Next visit we would want to try some of the cooking classes in the area.

lovely old farmhouse set just over the river from Lucca , ideal for mountains and visits to main tourist towns , manager could not be more helpful even taking us to station early in morning , getting lost in Lucca all part of fun , found some great restaurants serving local dishes , facilities on site were excellent and pool most welcome after all the walking in the sun

This is a wonderful place to relax and also to visit the most important cities of Tuscany. What a lovely break we have had. The accommodation was perfect. Good sized apartment with fantastic garden and pool. Giovanna was very friendly and helpful. We spent 11 days in Timo with our kids. Everything is renovated with the option for air conditioning. The owners are at the house every day working on the grounds. They are always happy to help you with directions, reference to restaurents,ect... But location,location,location! My kids are 8 and 10 and don't have the patience for long drives. Lucca 5min., Pisa 20 min., Florence 1hre and to the ferry for 5 terre , Sienna 1h30. We were able to leave in the morning for our visits and come back at the house in the afternoon to relax by the pool. Close to the house grocery store, wine store, butcher, pizza and gelateria...all perfect!

Our stay in this villa was wonderful. The villa is perfectly situated in Tuscany that, with a car, we were able to visit the most important Cities of art as well as Florence, Pisa, and Siena. Surrounding restaurants were unbelievably delicious. The apartment was very comfortable and the owners very helpfull and friendly. The big garden and the swimming pool were fantastic! We hope to return in the future.

I and my husband we spent a beautiful time in Lucca. The apartment Timo is very nice and very comfortable. In the apartment there is all that you need and it is very clean. Giovanna gave us all the information to visit Lucca, about restaurants and shops. The garden of encantea is wonderful. Thank you to Francesco that works hard to keep it in perfect condition.

Apartment was well kitted out situated very close to to Lucca in a fantastic setting. A beautiful pool and well maintained gardens surrounding. The owners were very helpful throughout our stay and recommended some lovely restaurants in the hills with amazing views on the way. We enjoy coming to lucca and this is somewhere we'd think of coming back to.

Encantea is the perfect place to stay for a holiday in the beautiful Toscane. We stayed in the appartment "Timo" and had a wonderful time there. It's very tasteful fitted and everything you need on your holiday is available. The hospitality of Giovanna and Francesco is enormous. They are always busy to keep the place in a really perfect condition and nothing is to much trouble for them to make your holiday an unforgettable period. The location is perfect, restful in the beautiful countryside and still ideal situated to visit the interesting places of Toscane. We can recommand this residence to everyone who wants to make the most of their holiday. Giovanna and Francesco, thank you for your great service!
