Located minutes from downtown Greenville, the Swamp Rabbit Trail, Furman University, and Travelers Rest, this beautifully furnished & fully renovated, 2BR/2BA home will make your stay in the upstate of SC truly special.
A little bit of background...Cottage Haven is a result of a family dream...as we traveled, we were often frustrated and always thought of things we would do to make a space better for visitors. So when the opportunity arose for us to purchase and renovate this cute little house, we jumped in all the way. One of our sons does remodeling, one installed hardwood floors, our daughter is an Interior Designer, and I (Chris) have a local cleaning service- after a year and a half, we were ready for our first guests.
Now our goal is to make every guest feel like they're the first to stay. When we say "fully stocked", we mean that we provide little things to make your time with us more comfortable, we pay close attention to detail, and we strive to keep all things in 'like new' condition.
*An additional note:
Some guests have mentioned that the neighborhood is a bit “run down”. It is definitely a lower middle class area, but many of the neighbors have been in residence for decades (including those on either side of CH- in fact, Ms Margaret has lived in the same house next door since the 1960’s!) ) and they do upkeep their yards and homes and look out for one another. We have come to know several of the neighbors and have always felt safe, even late at night. While some homes a block or two away are not as well kept, there are also a few new homes being built (Greenville is growing rapidly). Additionally, there is a street lamp on the edge of our property so it well-lit at night.
So please come and enjoy your morning coffee on the spacious covered deck off the kitchen overlooking the large, fenced-in back yard. Or relax with friends & family around the fire pit or under the ambient lighting that surrounds the deck roof.
In consideration for all of our guests, the home is a non-smoking space and pet-free.

Stayed for the 2nd time, this time for Thanksgiving with local family. The house couldn't be more perfect for us! Blackout curtains for the kiddo, an awesome kitchen for fixing some meals (and sides to share on turkey day)We love the location, and I'm now on a mission to find the pillows from the beds so I can get them at home too! Check in and check out are easy peasy, and the seasonal decorations are so cute! My favorite thing, though, is the little touches... The floss and toothpaste in case we forgot ours, the spices and basic first aid stuff in the cabinet... You can tell the owners really care about the guests! I'm honestly hoping to be able to snag this place again for our next trip out to visit!

I think this is the most well stocked VRBO I have ever been too. The little snacks and waters are usually typical but all of the extras with the coffee bar, Kleenex, shampoo and noise machines for the bedrooms were amazing and thoughtful. The place was so cute and comfortable for a family trip. We had family stop by for a few hours as well and there was great kitchen space and outdoor space to hang out and catch up. Wonderful place to stay!!

The home and hosts were wonderful. The amenities are excellent and everything was well thought out. The floor plan of the home was well laid out and we had a great stay! Hope to be back.
