Abené shuDyma Lodge is an amazing place to stay - 5 min walk to beach and also close to main street with all the food stalls and vendors. Everyone is unbelievably kind and friendly in this village, and you feel totally safe as everyone knows each other. The beach is full of fishing boats and little bars but it was quiet at this time of year. The sea is quite rough but ShuDyma lodge pool of is just gorgeous and perfect for cooling off with a drink and to admire the fruit trees and lovely decor of the place. Apollinaire who is the manager was the most charming and helpful person. He made our trip very special always helping us with anything we needed, asking us what we wanted to eat and making sure we had delicious food and always fish just caught! Everything is super clean and the staff are so friendly and calm and efficient. Our room was very tasteful and spacious and an extremely comfortable bed! Abene village is very chilled and there is an amazing life music bar a few mins walk away. We also ate many times on the main street where all the restaurants are small and family run, with amazing local dishes and extremely well priced. You can also visit the huge Fromager sacred tree in the village - incredible to see and an easy 10 min walk.

Relaxed lodge with good breakfast (additional charge). Friendly host, large clean room, good pool. Make sure you visit the 'Big Tree' when in Abene, 500CFA charge but well worth it.

Water pressure for the shower was light, but still worked well enough.
