Perfect atmosphere, Very peaceful, Will 100% book again.

The location was perfect, An amazing atmosphere to sit outside in the morning with a coffee and just the same to sit and watch the sunset. All of the people that live down there were really friendly. Stone beach was lovely to walk down at night as the tide was going out just to see all the fish, crabs and shrimp swimming about.

Hot tub was very cosy with it being inside the shed but at times it was a bit too hot to sit in as we were fortunate with hot weather at the same time.

Buyer Beware !

l liked the dunkirk spirit of all the other occupants on sea lane. they knew the access was horrendous but smiled and winced as only the English can. l liked the kind man who offered to escort us back up sea lane in his 4X4 in 1st gear, thankyou to him. l liked the railway at the back of the chalet that serviced Sellafield Nuclear Power station but not mentioned in the advert, bonus. l liked the look of the chalet but alas could not enter because the key code was unavailable!

l didn't like the road, sea lane. this was a washed out, giant pot holed, suspension crushing track. one side was pot holed (pot holed--crater riddled) the other side was washed away (as in--not there at all). steep no, very very steep. half way down was a hair pin bend followed by an even steeper continuation of the "track". this culminated with a 90° bend under a railway tunnel for the afore mentioned train. once down the track it continued in a slightly better aspect than the track. there was no mobile signal at all so communication with the owner or booking.com or sykes cottages wasn't possible. so back up "sea lane" and once at the top started attempting to ring the afore mentioned contacts...nothing. this left me with a problem, where were we to sleep. with one very disabled husband and an elderly wife with ptsd and heart trouble this was very upsetting. l write this review not in anger but as a warning...DO NOT BOOK THIS CHALET UNLESS YOU ARE A VERY CONFIDENT DRIVER IN A 4X4. booking.com l dare you to print this true and concise account of my nightmare encounter with "The Chalet"...

Off the beaten track little gem.

This place is an off the beaten track little gem. The view from the chalet is stunning and offers beautiful beach views and walks from your own front door. Behind the chalet is a stunning coastal path where you can walk for miles through fields overlooking the gorgeous coastline. The chalet is gorgeous, with a well equipped kitchen,log burner, a powerful, hot shower and comfy beds. Everywhere is also super clean. There's even a hot tub!! It's off the beaten track but once you've sat watching the waves,savouring the sound and sight of the beach it really is a little slice of heaven. Best sleep therapy there is!

It's impossible to find anything to dislike!!
