The Alpenheim, located in the beautiful Münstertal valley in South Tyrol, is a warmly run family business. You can choose from three beautiful vacation apartments (self-catering) that provide the perfect setting for a wonderful vacation. The Alpenheim is situated in the center of the village of Taufers, and it’s just a two-minute walk to the bus stop or the grocery store. Looking for a wonderful spot to soak up the sun? Our large sunbathing lawn and spacious garden will entice you to enjoy the perfect summer vacation in the sun. Are you interested in nature? A vast array of flora and impressive birdlife will reveal many unique sights. Unfortunately, our Labrador Samy is no longer with us, but all dogs are still warmly welcome. For families with children, our house is simply the ideal vacation spot. Right nearby, you’ll find a very well-equipped public playground that your children will love.
Bus, train, and hiking suggestions: The bus stop is right outside our front door, just a 1-minute walk away. You can take the bus to the train station in Mals every hour. With the newly opened Vinschgau Railway, you can reach Merano, the Alpine spa town, in just under 60 minutes. Just 8 km from Taufers lies South Tyrol’s smallest town, Glurns, with its well-preserved city walls and towers. You can also explore the Vinschgau Valley by bike and marvel at the full diversity of nature. For hiking enthusiasts, the area around Taufers offers many opportunities. For example, the numerous—and in some cases well-preserved—Waalwege trails in the Vinschgau Valley.

Zum zweiten Mal im Haus Alpenheim zu Gast fühlten wir uns wieder sehr herzlich willkommen. Die Vermieter sind sehr herzlich und hilfsbereit. Auch mit Tipps für Wandertouren wird man bestens versorgt.
Die Wohnung ist sehr sauber und bestens ausgestattet. Die moderne, geräumige Küche hat alles, was man sich wünschen kann. Die Zimmer sind zwar durch einen Flur getrennt (wie in der Beschreibung angegeben), aber das wussten wir ja und es hat uns überhaupt nicht gestört. Wir waren zu dritt im Urlaub (2 Erw., 1 Kind) und fanden dafür die Größe der Wohnung bestens geeignet. Der Balkon mit schöner Aussicht ist prima zum Entspannen nach den Wandertouren. Nebenan ist ein schöner Spielplatz.
Vom Haus Alpenheim kann man direkt schöne Wanderungen starten, ohne fahren zu müssen. Weitere Top-Touren sind nach kurzer Autofahrt erreichbar, wobei man für manche Strecken auch gut die öffentlichen Verkehrsmittel nutzen kann.
Die Lage ist sehr ruhig, dennoch sind kleine Läden gleich „um die Ecke“ zu Fuß erreichbar.
Über den kostenlosen WLAN-Zugang sowie die Vinschgau-Card haben wir uns sehr gefreut.
Für uns hat der Vinschgau und Haus Alpenheim alles für einen rundum perfekten Urlaub und wir kommen im nächsten Jahr gern wieder! :)
