Modern touches with fun game room, hot tub (may 7 2023) and large spaces will provide the perfect setting for you and yours! This home was designed for couples in mind! The Poconos isn't just for large groups! It's time to bring LOVE back to Lake Harmony! Perfect for just the two of you or add a few more friends or family with plenty of room to spare.
Vaulted tongue and groove ceilings in the living area along with floor to ceiling windows on the front of the house will put you right in vacation mode. One of the best front porches In the neighborhood will give you a great spot to smoke a stogie, sip a cocktail, and reconnect. We’ve met all of our neighbors via the front porch, it’s our favorite spot!

The house has 2 deceptively large areas:
LIVING SPACE: The front of the home holds the Living room and open concept kitchen.
Two sofas provide seating for 5, with bookshelves stocked with books, magazines, games and record player for your enjoyment.
The Smart TV over the gas fireplace is ready to go with for any streaming service you want to log into.
The huge stone fireplace is centrally located w new propane insert providing warm cozy nights simply by clicking a remote control.
The stainless-steel kitchen offers a large refrigerator/freezer, floor to ceiling pantry for storage, farm-style sink, dishwasher, microwave, and coffee station (drip, french press, bean grinder). Oh, and let’s not forget a ‘Mad Men’ style bar for the all-important cocktail!
Well stocked with cooking pots, pans, baking sheets and glassware, you will have everything on hand to prepare whatever might be on the menu. Room darkening shades can be drawn for complete privacy in both the living area and game/dining area.
Off the living/kitchen is a large dining room with seating for 6, and a desk for those who can’t quite shake off work responsibilities :-(
Nest to the dining area is the fun spot! Enjoy some fun time on the 2 person Arcade Table with 60 old-school games like Pac-Man, Galaga, Donkey Kong and more, or challenge each other to the 9’ Shuffle-board table or oversized Connect4 game. If you don't want to shake your morning workout routine, there's plenty of floor space for yoga and pilates. The French doors in the game room open out to the front drive where we have the Hot Tub, Solo firepit and BBQ for outdoor time
Sleeping:
• Master Bedroom offers a King Bed with en-suite bathroom, bureau, room darkening blinds, separate Heat/AC split unit & Smart TV (no cable tv).
• Guest Bedroom offers a Queen bed with ‘Floating’ Full bed (holds 1000lb+ ), bureau, closet space, SmartTV,room darkening blinds & separate Heat/AC split unit.
Bathrooms:
• Master Bathroom ~access from bedroom only, 4 ft glass and tile shower, toilet, sink, closet and washer/dryer
• 2nd Bathroom ~ access from living room hallway, 4 ft glass and tile shower, toilet & sink
Other Important details:
• Tankless hot water system will keep you from ever running out of hot water
• 1GB internet speed
• All Appliances purchased Aug 2022
• Floating Bed holds 1000 lbs (it's actually anchored to the wall)
• Heat/AC Split in every room of the house
• Cleaning fee includes linens and towels
• We are in Split Rock section of Lake Harmony.
• **We do have antique pieces true to this era in the home. Therefore we will only
consider guests with great ratings and will not host any sort of party getaway.
If you are bringing children, be mindful of the care necessary here and it will not
be child proofed.
Local Area and Attractions:
The Love Shack is situated in the Split Rock area of Lake Harmony. One block away from the Split Rock Resort and beach bar, you can stroll down to the grassy area and sit on a blanket to see the activities on the lake! Rent a kayak, paddle board or other watercraft from yeti water sports and have your own adventure! The Split Rock neighborhood is quiet, backing up to state game lands. Great area to take long strolls with your loved one or pet.
Some of our favorite local attractions are the JackFrost/BigBoulder ski resorts- each one only 2-5 miles from our door in either direction. H2Ooooo Waterpark and Split Rock Golf Course are just ½ mile away. Unbelievable hikes with waterfalls, boulder fields and more are in any direction you turn. White water rafting, paintball skirmish, and ATV tours are just 10minutes away. Kalahari Water Park is 20 minutes, Camelback summer and winter parks are 25 minutes away
We are fortunate to have convenience stores for those last minute items (including adult beverages) at either end of the lake, and some of the best restaurants and bars in he Poconos just a mile away!

The house is cute and overall our stay was ok, but we had some issues out of the gate with no hot water. Host responded to assist when we contacted her during business hours the next morning and we ended up getting hot water when the plumber came out that night. However, the odor from a dead rodent(s) under the sink that she removed when she stopped by never went away. It got worse when we used the water or dishwasher. Not sure if it needed to be cleaned out with bleach or if there were more under that trap but it was a strong foul smell. Sadly, the hot tub jets didn’t work either and after reaching out to her, she thinks it was a pressure issue under the tub so nothing that could be easily remedied for our stay. Amy refunded us for our first night with no hot water and we ended up leaving a night early because the odor in the kitchen area was an issue for us trying to cook and eat there and was making my younger son feel nauseous . I’m sure none of this was intentional by the host but it all put a damper on our trip. We enjoyed the gaming room area and beds were comfy. Amy is a responsive house but only so much could be remedied during our stay. We enjoyed the boat parade and party at Nick’s Lake House - Fun time with great weather for that event. House is in a pretty quiet area. The area in Split Rock and the resort was very quiet with almost no guests or activities. I felt bad having to reach out to her again about the foul odor so we just left a day early.
