Upon walking in, you're instantly greeted into the bright and airy living space featuring vaulted ceilings with exposed white wooden beams, coastal modern decor, and hardwood flooring! The living area boasts plenty of comfy seating to snuggle up on and watch your favorite shows or movies on the 55-inch flatscreen TV. No expense was spared in the renovation of this seaside bungalow! The fully equipped kitchen has new stainless steel appliances, ample counter space, and charming cabinetry. The breakfast bar, with seating for up to 4, is the perfect spot for a quick morning treat or snacks throughout the day. And, when you're ready to sit down for a meal or to play a board game, the high-top dining table offers seating for 6.
The exquisite design continues into all 4 bedrooms, with high ceilings, coastal-inspired furnishings, and an abundance of natural light! The primary bedroom features a cozy king-size bed, flatscreen TV, and gorgeous ocean views. The second bedroom boasts a king size bed, ocean views, and a flatscreen TV. The third bedroom also has a queen size bed and a flatscreen TV. The fourth and final bedroom is excellent for kids and younger travelers, with 2 sets of bunk beds and a flatscreen TV. One of our favorite traits of this Oak Island vacation home is the delightful private boardwalk to the beach! It has built-in bench seating and an outdoor shower to easily rinse off after an afternoon or sunset walk on the beach. There is also plenty of seating for your entire family and group to relax on the covered front and back porches! Downstairs on the ground level is where you will find the remodeled laundry room with a full-size washer and dryer and covered parking for two vehicles.

The house was exactly as promised, and very well maintained. We apricated the linens being included. The beds & linens were good quality, which you don't always find in rentals these days. The management was very responsive & helpful when we had car problems at checkout time, which caused inconvenience for them. They clearly took pride in us having a positive experience all around. Another positive is that the checkout instructions were clear, polite and not overly burdensome. Often it's like you are put to work at the end of your vacation with ridiculous checkout expectations. This just felt like we had stayed with friends. Which seems wise because the vibe of being welcomed and well treated made us treat the property with respect & care. More rentals should engage in this congenial dynamic. Its a win-win. We rent homes often and I would put this rental company in the top tier. Beyond that, we had interactions with several of the neighbors who were owners and they were just lovely. We were there for 4th of July. You could see fireworks from all around, including the other islands. It was magical.

What a perfect little beach cottage! There is a protected dune site beside the house, so the beach is very private and not heavily populated. We would definitely stay here again. The AC could use a little tune up as it really heats up in the afternoon. A fresh paint job would really dress the place up also. Lastly, the kitchen fridge has a fishy smell, likely from someone leaving something in there too long. It wasn't unbearable and we bought some baking soda to cut the smell down. Overall, Ahoy There is one of the best beach houses we've ever rented.

Great location on the island! Loved being able to walk to Lonerider brewery to watch the sunset & any easy walk down to the point at the end of the island. The location felt nice & private due to only having neighbors on one side, we really enjoyed it. The home could have been stocked a little better- no hand soaps in the bathrooms, only 1 roll of paper towels for a whole week (easily remedied by a run to the store) Overall, it was a great place for our family vacation!

We had an amazingly experience at Ahoy There property. Loved the ocean front view. The cleanliness of the property was outstanding. Proximity to everything. Overall an A+ experience.
