About this cottage rental
An old fashioned cottage located in Bayville. Bayville is a small community in Boothbay Harbor that sits at the head of Linekin Bay. It`s a step back in time with its own little post office, and all the amenities that make a summertime community special including an association dock, tidal beach, community house, tennis court, and playground. It`s the kind of place where the memories made stay with you. Pet Friendly!
Featuring a spacious living room with fireplace, a dining room, TV room with sleeper sofa, and downstairs bath with shower and laundry. Upstairs there are 3 bedrooms and another bathroom with tub.
Community dock and tidal beach are a four minute walk away. Tennis courts and play area located steps away. Land Trust walking trails will take you to the East Boothbay General Store or go in the other direction and walk all the way to town. The Hillside Cottage, with its rustic charm, makes for a perfect get away from it all and a place to share some treasured memories.
We will meet you upon arrival to give a quick tour and to transfer keys. We are available 24/7 during your stay.
Friendly neighborhood. Just a 5 minute drive to town. Also has a few walking paths for those folks who like to hike.
IMPORTANT:
Instead of placing a security deposit hold on your card, we include a small, non-refundable $25 damage waiver in the reservation total—so your funds remain available throughout your trip. This Waiver covers damages up to $300.
• Quiet hours are 9:00 PM – 9:00 AM. Please respect our neighbors at all times.
• Maximum occupancy is as shown on the listing. Additional guests are subject to $25/person/night and may result in cancellation if excessive.
• A mandatory, non-refundable damage waiver is included in your reservation total in place of a security deposit. Guests remain responsible for damage exceeding coverage or resulting from negligence or rule violations.
• Pets are not allowed without prior approal and non-refundable pet rent.
• No smoking or vaping anywhere on the property (indoors or outdoors).
• Open flames (fireplaces, fire pits, etc.) require prior written approval.
• No parties, events, or large gatherings without written approval.
• Waterfront/dock use (if applicable) is at your own risk and may require an additional waiver.

Great stay here with our dog while we visited our college student doing a local internship. Neighborhood is lovely and quiet. Had most everything we needed, porch was great to sit out on in the evening. Comfortable beds. Very warm sleeping a couple nights because of the no a/c but cross breezes usually kept the house comfortable. Easy five minute drive into Boothbay Harbor. Quick responses whenever we reached out. Overall a great stay - we were very happy with it!

The place is exactly what we were looking for. Overall we really enjoyed our stay. I do have two notes though. -The cigarette smoke smell in the downstairs bathroom is unacceptable. -a 10am check-out for a vacation property is an hour earlier than it should be.

The house itself was cozy and rustic. It was very clean and had everything we needed to enjoy a week away. The kitchen was well stocked. We had plenty of room to spread out and get comfortable. Overall wonderful experience. My only concern would be the water pressure in the only indoor shower. Perhaps a new showerhead would’ve helped.
