Le Chai des Tuileries

A lovely, superbly and tastefully refurbished Maison de Maître, very close to the centre of the town of Montagnac, with all we needed (boulangerie, restaurant, butcher, supermarket) within walking distance. The accommodation: bedrooms, salon, shower room and well appointed kitchen are all on the same floor, while in the courtyard garden below there are tables, shady trees, the charcoal bbq and the delightful plunge pool (so useful for cooling off). We arrived very late (thank you British Airways!), but the very kind Veronique was there to meet us and told us all we needed to know about the house and the town. The house was safe, secure and very comfortable indeed, we loved it.

We were 2 married couples who have known one another for many years, so sharing a bathroom was not a problem, but having a second shower room would have been a delightful addition - that said, I knew when booking that the house had one bathroom, but if the owners want to make this 5* house into a 6* one, they might consider a second shower room (maybe dividing up the existing, very spacious shower room?).
