An idyllic escape to the mountains

This was my favourite stay of my Albania trip. The villa was wonderful with thoughtful touches and a dream escape from the city! The surrounding nature was idyllic and the time spent in the hot tub (more like a small pool), whilst gazing at the snowy mountains and starry sky will stay with me for a long time. The hosts were especially helpful and kind and I loved every aspect of my stay.

Stunning mountain villa!

Stunning villa with beautiful views. Staff was helpful with all issues. Beautiful decor, comfy bed, nice linens, beautiful location and grounds. We will return!

To be improved are hotub, which is below body temperature, so not really a hot tub. Also recommend having more cooking utensils and pans for guests who cook a lot.

Paying for the view

Pretty views

Step drive way to the location so if snow or ice on the ground would be difficult to drive away. Cabin looked bigger online and for 170 euro a night 2 little bars of soap and 1 little shampoo bottle for 2 adults to be able to shower is a joke.

It was nice and beautiful overall

The location was perfect, also the view. We liked plenty of cats that accompanied us 😍

We had trouble lighting the fireplace because of the smoke. We had to keep the door open most of the time. The fireolace glass turned black and we didn t have anything to clean it with. It would be better to have a small kitchen or a stove.

price–quality ratio not okay

Beautiful location with a great view. The cabins are spacious, quiet and offer a lot of privacy. The hot tub was lovely, and when we asked, the host quickly made the water warmer.

The price–quality ratio was not good. €510 for three nights is high, especially for Albania. The kitchen had very limited equipment. We had almost two days without power (perhaps because of the heavy rainfall). The hosts said only basic things work on the generator. When we mentioned that food in the fridge was defrosting, the power in the kitchen suddenly worked again. They tried to solve it, but it seemed they didn’t really have it under control. Our advice would be to close for a while and upgrade everything, so the price and quality match better again.

It’s all about the amazing location and views!

Lovely quiet site with great accommodation and amazing views. Host was responsive. Jacuzzi is a great addition and the pool is sparkling. It was lovely to see the horses and donkeys roaming around. Accommodation was comfortable and supplied with toiletries.

There were a couple of things that could just do with some maintenance, ie, broken toilet cover, lightbulbs need replacing otherwise lovely.

Nice stay, but...

Swimming pool, jacuzzi and the house is very big!

Be aware, if you dont pay cash they increase the price even more when paying by card, owner said: im not an exchange office so I use different rates.... :/ To my opinion a bit overpriced compared to the rest of Albania. The coffee machine worked not well, they helped and got replaced immediately but also that one did mal function. A lot of insects but that cannot be changed..

4 nights and we could have stayed 4 more. The hosts were very responsive and happy to help whenever asked The mountain hut is exactly as described. Feels spacious, the sofa and bed are so comfy. The views are absolutely stunning.

I absolutely loved everything about the property. The pool and the jacuzzi are such a huge plus to have in such location where there isn’t much to do. The house is so nice so welcoming. We had an amazing time and so did our kids.

Just incredibly beautiful

Incredible incredible incredible. The most beautiful place and a shame we were only here for one night. The rooms were spacious, beautifully appointed with lots of amazing touches like hot tub and bathrobes. We will definitely be back!

Not the property fault but we didn’t realise how long it would still take to get the Theth from here and how little was there or around. Luckily host informed us to get groceries etc in Shkoder and we definitely recommend this.

Stunning mountain getaway

The property and the location are beautiful. The view from the villas is amazing. The villa was comfortable and equipped with all the essentials. The staff were also very helpful. We actually had some car trouble close to the property and they sent someone to come help us.

Very kind and helpful hosts! 10/10 would stay again!

The location was magnificent. The aesthetic of the villas were top tier. The hosts were extremely accommodating and in the process of replacing a broken television in our unit. We didn’t even know it was broken until they came by. Our experience with the hosts was exceptional. We were having car issues when we were leaving. We notified our host who sent an employee to help us. They practically saved our lives and the rest of our trip, and they refused a tip. Thank you again!

Beautiful location and villas but some work is needed on improving the experience.

The location of the villas is absolutely stunning, they are also secluded from the road for privacy. The design of the villas is lovely and takes advantage of the views. The hot tub is a nice treat and was mostly very warm for our stay in the snow.

We had a rough start to our stay with no one at the villas to greet us and tell us which villa was ours. It took quite a bit of calling to get a hold of someone. It was also - 3 degrees and snowing. Once we got into our villa we discovered that it was not cleaned properly with the bathroom not having been cleaned and no towels etc.The cleaners returned to do the job after a short period of time. During our stay there was a snow storm which understandably took out the power. The onsite generator took most of the load however not the fridge resulting in some of our food spoiling through the night. The heating also stopped working which in negative degree weather is far from ideal. These things were eventually fixed however the communication from the managers was not great and required us to do a lot of asking. The villas, while beautiful, could also do with some general maintenance. The walls in our villa were heavily marked and need a repaint. When you are paying €150 a night a certain standard is expected.

A nice stay at the North Alpine Villas

The facility manager met us to show us our villa and let us in. The staff was always super friendly, whenever we needed help they were able to help us out. We really liked our villa, we got lucky and got to stay in one of the outside one that wasn't surrounded by neighbours on both sides. The villa has everything you may need and provides a lot of comfort. We loved the smart TV that allowed us to watch movies together. The bed was really comfortable as well. If you intend to travel the area be aware that it takes around one hour by car to get to Theth, where many nice hikes start. The streets are very good, just a little narrow here and there, so make sure to drive slow.

The only two things I can mention here is that it got extremely hot during the day in the villa. It cooled down again in the evening, so sleeping was not a problem. However, we wanted to keep the doors open so fresh air could come in during the day, which led to a lot of bugs coming into our villa. It would have been helpful to have a flyscreen. Moreover, the villa was nice but you could see some traces on the walls here and there, that could easily be fixed but aren't because I'm not sure the owner cares too much. It's little details like that which would make it even nicer. But most importantly, I wanted to mention that we were a bit disappointed to see a construction site right in front of the villas. We were expecting absolute peace and quiet, which in the end wasn't really the case. We asked the facility manager about it and she said that it is someone else's property and they are allowed to work there all day until 5PM, which was surpassed on most days. This didn't bother us as much because we did take many day trips, however, if you intend to spend a lot of time at the villas, be aware of this. It could be annoying.

Very modern layout by the nature. Quiet and relaxing hidaway. Beautiful nature and mountains around. Big clean house with private pool with running water and convenient pool temperature. All modern appliances in the house and hot shower. For meals you need to search for nearby places by car.
