Owner was very helpful. Gave us an electric racket in case of mosquitoes. Helped us find the chicken bus to Guatemala City. Let us check in a couple of hours early.

Shower head could have been better. A fan would have been nice, but overall, everything was great.

The property was quiet and clean. Manolo (the owner) provided us with a ride to the airport, even though we had an early flight, which was greatly appreciated! He was easy to communicate with and very accommodating.

The staff were great, helpful. They are the ones that boosted my ratings up. I liked the secure space to lock away small valuables under the bed. The bed sheets were clean, mattress clean, which is what really matters to me. The towels however generally weren’t. The towel I got the second time I stayed was clean but the first one had some kind of weird stuff/stains on it, and the hand towels in the bathroom were not. I avoided using them just in case. I liked this place because it was one of the cheapest available I could find which was above 8 star review and I’m trying to stretch out my travels. Very ok for one quick overnight stay.

Pretty basic. 0 social vibes. The dorm room had a lock on the inside that I used when I went to sleep, but during the day I couldn’t lock the room, and had to leave my big bag unsecured. Open air space outside the rooms, and I mean outside space. The kitchen area which was also outside, was also very basic, no microwave - the hostel kinda had camping vibes. I was hoping to do porridge for breakfast but it seemed maybe too hard at a glance. If they did the kitchen up, it might make it more inviting for people to stay longer than a quick night.
