Badgers Cottage

Such a great cosy little cottage for exploring this area of Dorset & perfectly close to a lovely pub that does great food - they do have fewer opening days in winter. Great walks to fleet with dogs, super dog friendly. We'd book again.

It's a little cottage so be mindful that head room upstairs is tricky & shower room super tight - but a small price to pay for such a great location. The garden is enclosed for dogs however the trellis fence between adjoining gardens isn't that robust & does have small gaps - one of our little dogs escaped next door when chasing a cat!

Badgers cottage is a lovely period property. It has some fantastic original features and is full of character. There is a lovely enclosed back garden with seating and the property is very peaceful being located in a sleepy village. The location is perfect - only a few minutes walk to the coast path (plus plenty of other footpaths!), and also just a short drive from plenty of tourist destinations. Weymouth is also very close. We had a lovely stay, and will certainly be back one day!

The cottage doesn't have its own parking, but there is some bay parking very close, and we always managed to get a space there. Also, the bathroom and kitchen are quite small, which is something to be aware of, but this is fully expected for such an old property and didn't cause us any issues during our stay.

Parking, near cottage if you are lucky to get it, not allocated.(if the pub was open, I could see problems finding a space) Tv did not work downstairs, is it not checked prior to visitors ? Not good signal for upstairs TV. Shower room very small and numerous steps....I think , the accessibility of the Shower room should be mentioned in the description of the property, as quite difficult for anyone with mobility issues.
