HardRock Hideaway - 5br, Cozy, Steps from Casino!

One family member responded with the following: Ahh our rental, the best thing about it is the ac. The beds are held up by bricks and beams. The dishes were waiting to be washed, the dust on the floor was inviting and provided a lived in feel. Another family member found a broken chair, propped up as though it were safe, a broken silverware drawer where the wooden FRONT of the drawer fell when opened, and a host of other stuff.I had 2 family memebers leave earlier than intended because of mold and respiratory distress. They were the smart ones! The rest of us are getting over non viral respiratory issues. The mold smell was STRONG.The second bathroom, at the back of the house is right off the kitchen...with one of those decorative short walls. So I'm sure that EVERYONE knows that fecal matter travels through the air, yes? So anyone using that restroom is effectively depositing fecal matter on everything in the kitchen...so nasty and public.In addition, the shower floor was NOT standard shower tile but the old school decorative wall tile. Lastly, the shower door was not installed prproperly sically resulting in puddles of water after each shower.I won't mention the quality/cleanliness of the towels, just call it gross and move on.Very clear that we wowon't turn to this property and I will personally avoid this host going forward.I sent one message inquiring about coffee filters and mentioning the kitchen drawer. His response blamed prior tenants...I can't...

The house has a new paint job on the outside. This is the better part of Gary and real close to a casino. description and photos of hone were spot on. We were traveling for work and this house provided plenty of bedrooms and common place for dinner and lounging.

DON"T STAY HERE!!! We arrived the first night and found that the house was not cleaned. Was able to contact the owner. At first the owner was nice and apologetic. He offered a house right next door for the night until he could get the other house cleaned. Then he became rude and told us that he can cancel our stay and we can stay at the Motel 6 down the road. I was expressing our disappointment that we had to stay in one house and then in the morning pack everything up and move to the house we were originally suppose to stay in. I told him that I felt we should get some type of refund for our inconvenience. I asked that he refund our first night and he agreed. I later sent him a message stating what we agreed on and I asked him to confirm the message. He never did. After our trip I sent him another message asking him to keep his commitment. He never did and I have never received any refund. I would have settled on some type of refund if he would have communicated with me. As far as the house is concerned the house was not great. The floors always felt dirty. It had a musty smell. There is not enough supplies in the house. The house says it sleeps 12 but there is only 8 towels. In the kitchen there is only 4 forks. We had one garbage bag. The drawers in the kitchen were falling apart. I can overlook a lot of things but when you become rude and fail to communicate it makes it hard to enjoy yourself.

Did not care for the location or the maintenance guy showing up everyday but unfortunately last minute booking had us here.
