About this house rental
Sainte- Croix, Esparron, Quinson, and the Valensole plateau with its endless lavender fields; 60 km from Aix-en-Provence with its Mont Saint-Victoire; and less than an hour from the Mediterranean (Marseille, St. Tropez, Bormes-les-Mimosas...) and the Alps (Route Napoleon, Golfe-Juan, Grenoble).
In the summer, the village’s elevation of approximately 450 m guarantees cool nights for a restful sleep. The house does not have air conditioning, but the shutters, kept closed during the day, keep out too much sun—at night, just leave the windows open!
You can enjoy lovely walks and hikes in the area and discover charming Provençal villages such as RIEZ La Romaine (7 km) with its shops, bars, and restaurants, as well as doctors and a pharmacy, Greoux-les-Bains, a sunny spa town with its Roman baths, and many more.
You can enjoy cycling, water sports like kayaking, rock climbing in the gorge, or simply relax in the castle park with its swimming pool.

Surroundings
The Conciergerie is situated in a quiet, green setting in front of the historic castle (Medieval and Renaissance) and park, yet only 100 m from the village, which has a bakery, bistro/restaurant, grocery store, post office, and a great hair salon!
It’s ideal for a small group or one or two families with children who want to spend a completely relaxing and undisturbed vacation here.
The living area, with its cozy seating areas, fireplace nook, and satellite TV, is furnished with character and comfort, in keeping with the house’s style.
The 2 bathrooms and 3 toilets ensure there’s never a bottleneck...
The house is located in the castle’s large park (also a historic landmark) with a swimming pool, but it is not completely fenced in (watch out for your pets!).
You can feed your organic waste to our chickens and geese—in exchange for our organic eggs, if you’d like!
There is plenty of parking in the park with a carport, where you can park safely and for free.
The swimming pool is a short walk (100 m) from the Conciergerie, but small children must never use it without your personal supervision!
The house/apartment does not require air conditioning: the shutters keep out excess sunlight when necessary!
