The outside of the lodge is generally looking a little tired, inside is looking good. Maybe needing some new utensils and hob needed a good spruce up. Generally well stocked for a family, it let down with size of crock pot, if a family was using that to oven cook. Only one ovenware product. Excellent shower/bath facilities. Beds are extremely comfortable. WiFi can be a bit hit and miss, but you are provided with code and it is free. Local pub is within walking distance with children playground. This is recommended for all ages who love being in a rural setting and want to be able to tour around. A lovely setting. We will be back x

Loved the lodge so cute , big duck pond , reception sells duck food that the kids loved , nice but not cheap pubs near by, the one next door had a park heated out door sitting area , nice relaxing walks through the woods , slept very well in Comfy big bed.

Good clean accommodation only criticism king size bed mattress needs replacing very tiered sagging mattress we've stayed at many lodges within this group Darwin escapes managed by hoeseasons and the reason we only book these lodges through out the country is the superbly comfortable beds.Really let down by poor night's sleep due to mattress in lodge 28. it's a very quiet site idealy suited to couples or groups nothing for children to do pub within a very easy walk but poor value fish and chips £22 was supposed to be 10 oz cod and portion of chips the cod was only 5 oz at best and chips served in a small container basket along with a table spoon of mushy peasHad to ask the staff if I got the right order of large cod and chips and they assured me it was shame I didn't take my phone as I would have listed pictures with review.
