Miners Cottage lancefield

The cottage is beautifully presented and very clean. The host showed us how to use the gas heater which made the cottage cosy and warm. The bed was very comfortable.

We did find it confusing to enter the property, signage would have been helpful. The portable stovetop was confusing with no instructions.

Location, host, comfort . It felt like a warm hug from a friend

The bed was very comfortable and the cottage was warm and cosy. It was a perfect place to stay to unwind and central to taking day trips to other towns.

If I need to say something it would be not having an actual oven but there was a portable hotplate and other appliances there that I could use.

The property was clean, comfortable, and well maintained.

The property was quite noisy due to its location next to a main road with a 100 km/h speed limit, and traffic could be heard early in the morning. I was also surprised that the cottage was connected to the owners’ house with internal access doors, which made it feel less private than expected. The listing mentioned complimentary local wine, eggs, bacon, and milk, but these were not provided. Finally, the fireplace shown in the listing was actually a gas heater designed to look like a fireplace. Since the fireplace was one of the main reasons I booked the property, this was disappointing.
