Villa Hansen in Funchal suburb - Cristo Rei

Große und sehr gut ausgestattete Villa mit perfekter Lage! Die Aussicht ist wunderschön. Der Besitzer Jan Hansen war sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit! Danke für den schönen Aufenthalt!

We had a wonderful week at Villa Hansen; Jan was so welcoming and the property is in a lovely quiet location, just a short walk to a fabulous local bakery, supermarkets, and a range of restaurants and bars. It's about a 20 min walk down to the Cristo Rei statue and the cable car to Garajau beach, which is great for snorkeling (would definitely advise beach shoes as it's a pebbly beach). It's a great base for exploring other areas in the east of the island; we took a bus from Funchal back to the villa which took about 20 mins, but for further exploration you need a car/uber/taxi. In terms of the facilities, the villa has everything you need; we had a mixture of going out for meals and cooking for a couple of the nights. The kids fell in love with the pool, which has an amazing view of the sea, and they also enjoyed the ping pong table. Jan was also on hand to answer any questions we had and arranged transfers to and from the property; we subsequently booked an island tour with Rui, the man who collected us from the airport, and we can't recommend that highly enough - we toured the east of the island and it was a day we'll never forget. All in all, a fabulous week and we can't wait to come back and visit Madeira and Villa Hansen again!

Die Lage, die Lage und noch mal die Lage! Besser geht es nicht. Man schaut auf das Meer & mit dem Fernglas sieht man durchaus Delfine. Innerhalb von 3min ist man auf der Ring-Autobahn und damit in einer Stunde an jedem Punkt Madeiras. Unschlagbar! Die Außenanlage ist schön gepflegt und es gibt einen überdachten Parkplatz auf dem Grundstück. Der Pool war sauber.

Die viel besagte Ruhe ist relativ und abhängig von den Gästen im Hotel dahinter. Auch muss man unempfindlich gegenüber Tauben sein, da sie vom ersten bis zum letzten Sonnenstrahl durchgehend rufen. Wovon wir wirklich enttäuscht waren, ist die Sauberkeit. Abgeschnittene Zehennägel unterm Terrassentisch, knautschige Bettwäsche mit Haaren darin, Dreckspritzer im Waschbecken, staubige Fußböden, etc. Hier muss dringend nachgebessert werden. Auch die Matratze im Himmelbett gehört ausgetauscht. Die hohe Luftfeuchtigkeit hat den Möbeln in Küche und Bad bereits stark zugesetzt.

Willa pięknie położona, dobrze wyposażona, czyściutka, przesympatyczny właściciel. W pobliżu sklepy i restauracje, a do Funchal bez problemu można dostać się taksówką. Z przyjemnością tu jeszcze kiedyś wrócimy.
