Pousada Deck 950 - Cambará do Sul

The location was good, within easy reach of restaurants and other services. The bed was comfortable, and having a mini fridge and an electric kettle in the room was convenient. There is also a basic shared area with a microwave and a fireplace in the living room. However, despite having a kettle in the room, there were no basic utensils provided, such as mugs, glasses or cutlery, which limited its usefulness...

Unfortunately, there were several issues with our stay. The bathroom in our room was old, cold and humid, and clearly in need of serious maintenance. The towels were also old and stained. Interestingly, ours was the only room for which no bathroom photos were shown in the listing. Now we know why. The room was very noisy, both because of traffic from the busy avenue around the corner and because of noise from other guests. The accommodation is essentially a house with individual rooms for rent, with shared spaces, including a TV room, directly in front of the bedroom doors. There is no sound insulation, so noise from the outside and the internal common areas carries straight into the rooms. We also found the electrical installation concerning. What disappointed us most, however, was the lack of flexibility regarding our booking. Due to severe weather, with official yellow and red alerts in place and roads closed because of landslides, we asked from the first day to cancel the last night out of our three-night reservation. The establishment refused. We understand that cancellation policies exist, but we found this response particularly disappointing given the exceptional circumstances and the safety concerns caused by the weather. Overall, the condition of the room and the handling of our request left us with the impression that guest comfort and customer care were not priorities.
