Location

A bit tired, stained carpet

Location was good and there was plenty of space for 3 adults. We had everything that we needed. Towels were great. Wee welcome pack was good.

We are so used to going to places that have a bar of soap in the bathroom. It would have been great to have had one in the apartment. While the shower was fine, the temperature fluctuated every few seconds between hot and cold and we had to time when we stepped in and out of the spray 😛. We couldn’t open the window in the single room. The window was locked and we couldn’t find the key. During this very good weather, it was very hot in the room.

Convenient location.

There was an overpowering smell of dogs in the property. It was clean but this really needs some attention. I write this as an owner who rents out my property on Airbnb . We take dogs, but charge more for additional cleaning. It was very off putting and didn’t give a good first impression on arrival. There was also little soundproofing and voices from the property below were loud and clear.

Clearly a corporate let, and in need of some actual effort from the operators - judging by the stuff about Covid procedures the last time they updated their information was 2021. The Wifi password in the information pack was wrong, so we had to get this from the back of the router. The booking page said it had parking but this was only on-street and there would be no chance of a space if we had arrived earlier in the day, due to all the people wanting to park for free to visit the beach. No shampoo or shower gel. All minor stuff really, but it felt like the company who own the place are just living off their prime location. A little effort would go a long way.
