Colosseum apartment

Super Lage, ruhig, da Fenster nicht direkt auf Strasse sind.

Wohnung hat intensiv nach Putzmittel (Javel) gerochen.

Location was really great! Short distance from the Colosseum, Roma Termini and in an area with everything you need from restaurants, bars, grocery shops, etc. The host was really nice and getting access to the apartment was easy. The apartment had a kitchen, which we didn't really use but it had everything one would need should they need to use it. The apartment also had functional and practical things like umbrellas, irons and boards, extra blankets, etc.

The lack of daylight. There are a couple of windows, however, the apartment is located in an interior void and a vertical wall on the other side, so there is no actual direct sunlight getting in. For a short period of stay it is ok, however, I can see it becoming an issue for longer stays. Excessive noises from the surrounding apartments. We realize this is not a luxury property, however, the lack of sound insulation was not great. People were running a washing machine next door and you could clearly hear it at night. The other sound issue was the electric boiler which was making a very loud noise every time someone had to use the hot water. Again, not a complete deal breaker, however, all those negative aspects contribute to the feeling this property is very much overvalued and should be cheaper.

The location of this apartment is excellent. 10-20 minute walk to most of the key attractions in Rome, but located on a quiet residential, pedestrian friendly street with shops, boutiques and restaurants. 2 minute walk to Cavour metro station, 1 minute walk to mini-grocer across the street. The property manager was very responsive and helpful. We could not get the A/C on and though I am sure she thought we were crazy Canadians to want A/C in early May - she made a trip to the apartment to get it turned on for us. The apartment is perfectly outfitted with every thing we needed. Nice and clean, and very comfortable. I have already recommended this apartment to friends visiting Rome later this year.

Very small bathroom with little ventilation. Not much light in the apartment. Access not easy
