Extremely small, not so isolated, and expensive

The unit's located well, one road away from the lakeside and hidden among a tiny sub-village in Salla. There's a small smattering of places to eat and resorts nearby, so the somewhat limited cooking facilities are no drawback. There's also sufficient coffee, tea, and hot chocolate supplies to keep the average caffeine addict happy. Shower facilities are great, particularly in light of the size of the place.

I had difficulty getting the door-code in time, I had to ask twice and only received it late the night before we arrived. The bed's a bit on the soft side for my tastes. It is a very small place, hardly room enough for our two small bags. In addition, the description and photos portray this place as being nearly wilderness or isolated. It's neither of those, feels like an add-on to a growing resort-style community.

Cozy but cold

Very cosy place with everything you need in a small space.

The apartment was very cold at arrival and it took several hours to warm up due to floor heating. Additionally, the shower only had warm water for 15-20min and also needed a couple hours to re-heat, making it hard to enjoy.

Beautiful little cabins, luxurious feel. Very comfortable beds. Easy check in.

The showers run cold after 15 minutes. It says so in the guide book, but we didn’t find the guide book until after one was in a cold shower.

A cozy suite with a wonderful view

The suite is very cozy and has a magnificent view to contemplate when you wake up, ideal to enjoy as a couple. The large window can be a little intimidating, but there are curtains/blinds that offer much-needed privacy at night, since in daylight you can't see inside, but at night you can. The air conditioning in the suite is good and the underfloor heating makes it even cozier, especially after a walk in the snow. Although it may seem small, there is plenty of storage in the room. The kitchenette is well equipped, allowing you to prepare some meals. The surrounding area is very pleasant to walk around and if you have rented a car it is easy to reach the various points of interest and services nearby. We stayed for a week and we had the opportunity to book several activities and tours, so we never got bored.

It's easy to figure out how to turn lights on and off at the labeled switch, but these are smart bulbs that can also be wireless controlled. One day we woke up to the lights turning on and off automatically, perhaps due to some bug in the wireless system. I would say that, for rental purposes, there's no need for such system, which some people may not be familiar with. I would suggest informing in advance about the cleaning schedule and frequency to avoid surprises. Even so, we were able to count on the help and sympathy of the staff.

Superb

There had been a mixup on which apartment we will stay in, so that when we arrived we ended up in a room that was not cleaned yet. Despite arriving pretty late at night, the host helped us to get into the right apartment really quick! The apartment, although beeing a bit small, is still pretty nice for two persons. The kitchen is equipped with the basics (pots, pan, coffee machine, toaster, etc.) that are needed to make simple meals. The floor heating makes the apartment really cozy, especially on a cold winter day. The view is amazing and the windows are reglecting so that it is not possible to look into the apartment from the outside (at least during the day). The surrounding area offers a lot of nature and if you‘re interested you should defientely visit the Museum of War and Reperations in Salla!

Great view. Nice place. Nice accommodation. Just little engineering defect because architect loves ideas that sometimes do not fit with reality. (example: If you have a light "on" inside the room, everybody walking in front of the accommodation looks into it, there is a very nice little kitchen inside but.. does not seem really comfortable to cook and eat inside the little space).

Sijainti oli varsin upea! Järvi- ja tunturinäkymä. Lyhyt matka kävellä lähellä olevaan ravintolaan syömään. Toki pikku keittiössä pystyi hyvin valmistamaan aamiaisen.

Pieni TV mahtuisi hyvin majapaikkaan!

Maisemamökki järvinäkymällä

Hyvä sijainti järven lähellä. Erittäin siisti ja rauhallinen majoituspaikka. Hienot näkymät ikkunasta järvelle. Erinomainen sänky myös. Aamupalalla voi käydä ravintola Kielassa, jossa saa hyvän hotelliaamiaisen hintaan 19 eur/hlö.
