We were surprised by the always attentive and carrying host Umberto who pro-actively offered us to fetch us from the airport, for a fair price, directly to the apartment. He also surprised us on one of the days of our stay with some baked goods for free. I also liked the fact that we could pay the tourist tax via bank transfer (less expensive than having to pay fees to take out cash). Umberto had even prepared a list of all the best places to eat and shop groceries around the apartment as well as things that you should visit in Naples. We were also allowed to store our bags at the apartment before continuing our travel with a train departing after our checkout time. We had overall a wonderful experience at this apartment and can only recommend it!

If one had to nitpick, we would have liked a bigger bathroom and a somewhat cleaner shower (mold spots). The beds are a little hard, but this is pretty much costumery in Italy from our experience.

Umberto is an incredible host, nothing is too much trouble. Communication exceptional. Like home away from home. Aside of the Beautiful light filled spotlessly clean apartment with comfortable beds we felt so welcome like family. For a small fee Umberto met us from the ferry, organised taxis and return transfer to the airport.

Nothing

A beautiful apartment in the heart of Napoli right next to the train station and 15 minutes from the airport. The location is perfect to discover the city and take the local trains to Pompei and Sorrento. A few minutes walk from the apartment to the start of Spaccanapoli and then you can walk all the way through the historic center to Toledo and even down to the harbour. Some of the best local restaurants in Napoli are within walking distance from the apartment recommended by the host. Although the building is old and needs some tlc, the apartment itself is beautiful and has true Neapolitan charm . It is big, comfortable and very clean. It’s on a main square so you will expect some noise from the street but not much. The surrounding of the apartment is lively and friendly and as safe as any big multicultural city in the world. The host Umberto is the perfect host, he looks after you from the moment you book the apartment by providing all necessary and helpful information. Our flight was late so him and his lovely son picked us up from the airport which I recommend because accessing the apartment might be tricky. Umberto is very hospitable,he left us water, juice, tea, coffee and biscuits in the apartment, and also when he knew it’s my birthday he surprised me by bringing to the apartment traditional birthday pastry ‘sfogliatelle’ from the best bakery. Thank you Umberto for making my day and our trip very special. We have traveled all over Italy but we fell in love with Napoli and its beautiful friendly people.
