About this house rental
Nestled in Loomis, Ca, Sweet Pea’s Cottage offers a variety of opportunities to disconnect from the hustle and bustle and reconnect with loved ones. It's time to relax, recuperate, and unwind. Bake a cake, pick some flowers, gather fresh eggs, and feed the "baby" goats. Being built in the early 1900's, this Sweet Pea is over 100 years old!
This is a dedicated short term rental home and we do not live in it.
Upon arrival, you’ll use the keyless entry to enter into the warm and spacious living room. With the click of a remote, it’s time to crank up the fireplace. Here you’ll find a sofa-bed with an optional memory foam topper and all linens located inside the cabinets directly beneath the 55” Smart TV. Shuffle through the DVD’s and prepare yourselves to experience the rumbling Polk Audio Sound System. Two oversized accent chairs found on either side of the sofa provide additional seating for guests to sink into. Want to sleep in? Block out curtains have been installed in all sleeping rooms including this living room.
The cute country-cottage inspired kitchen provides everything needed to feed the family. Air-fryer, coffee maker, microwave, toaster, pots, pans, plates, wine glasses, etc; it’s all here! Bake yourself a fresh loaf of sourdough bread provided per request! Feel free to visit the chicken coop for farm fresh eggs. Please note eggs can be seasonal.
Need some space from the kids? Send them off into the “Game Room.” Provided are a variety of board games, children’s books, an X-Box One, Nintendo 64, and Nintendo NES. In the center of the room we have a oval table which very comfortably seats 6. Stretch out and read a book on the extra-large window lounge.
NOTE:
The locomotive passes across Sierra College Blvd and can be heard throughout the day and occasionally at night. We enjoy the sounds of the train, but for for those who may be sensitive, we provide earbuds beside each bed.

This thoughtfully remodeled farmhouse was charming and comfortable. The kitchen was fully stocked, and there were lots of games to keep families entertained.
My kids enjoyed exploring the large surrounding yards including playing ping pong in the garage, and feeding and petting the little goats.
The owners were super attentive, they went above and beyond to make sure we had what we needed.

Super easy for a getaway with family and friends. The process was seamless as I instantly received emails welcoming us to our soon to be stay. The owners texted me before arrival letting me know I can text or message them anytime which was really nice.
The property felt out of the way enough, but so close to town and other nearby cities. There are two little goats on the property that were so friendly, and some adorable chickens.
The cottage itself is designed nicely. There are areas to hang out with people and just by yourself if you like. Everything was really well thought out for families too. Perfect for a little getaway. The kids loved Ginger’s game room, and the parents loved the living room set up.
Grapefruit, oranges, and eggs were available as all of these things were on property. So fun!
