About this cabin rental

Summary:
Cabin in the Tetons with beautiful, meticulous craftsmanship inside and out. Every detail of the home was thoughtfully planned. The 2-story windows form a picture-perfect frame of an unobstructed view of Grand Teton National Park from the quiet, serene, western slopes. Solitude awaits you in this peaceful home. The covered deck has plenty of space to sit and enjoy the mountains, as does the hot tub. Every room has a king bed, with a bathroom for each bedroom. Plenty of parking space, a large yard, outdoor fire pit and propane grill with a window for passing food. This is the perfect high-end home away-from-home for you to enjoy a vacation in the Tetons.

The Space:
The 2-story timber-frame cabin has large, vaulted ceilings with giant windows facing East towards the mountains. Use the spotting scope to get a close-up look of the Grand Teton or watch skiers go down Grand Targhee. The new 4K picture-frame TV over the fire mantle on the main floor has beautiful, crisp video quality. There are 2 laptop working stations with office chairs, monitor, and printer. The home has fast internet. Handrails everywhere make this a suitable home for senior citizens and can accommodate a wheelchair. The master bedroom has its own bathroom with a shower with bench. Every bathroom has a separate room for the toilet. There isn't a single piece of drywall in this house, as all the walls are made of cedar or fir. In the living area / loft upstairs there is a second TV, 2 additional couches, a small cubby with a pack n play crib, a bedroom, and a bathroom. There is central air with heating and air conditioning, and a fire pit for evening entertainment. You may park in front of the garage. Washer and dryer included. All the kitchen amenities, linens, and everything you need to enjoy your vacation are included in the home.

Guest Access:
The home is self-check-in and out. Property details will be sent one week before check-in.

The garage is not accessible to guests.

The Neighborhood:
This is a quiet neighborhood with neighbors who like their privacy. Make sure to drive 10mph on the dirt road and bring all noise indoors after 10pm.

Getting Around:
Distance to popular attractions:
– 14 miles to Grand Targhee Resort
– 42 miles to Grand Teton National Park
– 47 miles to Jackson Hole
– 90 miles to Yellowstone National Park

Other Things to Note:
1. Fire Pit. Do not use when covered with snow. Please follow safety practices and protect children. Firewood is available in the long stack in the compound. There is a black canvas wagon for use. There are additional chairs in the garage, metal and woven. There will be hotdog rods hanging in the garage or at the outdoor grilling area.
2. Outdoor grill. The grill is central propane. Please keep the grill and area clean.
3. The platform tent. Zoning law does not allow us to rent or otherwise provide the tent to tenants for sleeping. You may enjoy the deck and the tent otherwise but remember that it has special significance to our family so enjoy it with care.
4. House of doors. The house has many doors in each bathroom which can bump each other. We suggest keeping the doors closed on the rooms with the toilets to help mitigate that problem.
5. Hot tub. Enjoy safely. No children still in diapers should ever be in the hot tub. a. Lift the black hydraulically assisted mechanism up. b. Remove the straps and bungees from the cover and set them aside after making note of where they were so you can replace them after you are through with the tub; c. Fold the cover towards the lift.
d. Slide the cover into the bars of the hydraulic lift and lower it down.
Reverse the process when done with the tub.
Be sure to strap the cover down each time when you are finished because of the sometimes sudden high winds that could blow the cover off and damage it.

Our group (old friends from college) skied at Targee and Jackson last year and we stayed in Jackson, but the place was small and expensive. This year we wanted a larger place, less expensive, with a private hot tub, near Targee and Jackson, with brew pubs and Mexican restaurants nearby, and this place was exactly that! The house was fantastic: awesome views, comfortable, modern, great kitchen, etc. The only critique our group had was: we would have preferred one room to have had 2 twin beds, vs all 3 rooms having a king. But that's the only comment; everything else made up for that minor thing. The host was very quick to respond to questions. We plan on trying to come back here. This place is a Gem.

We got a special treat while staying at Targhee Shadows. The clouds cleared for us to get to see the spectacular view of the Tetons from the house. Really enjoyed the hot tub during the snow storm and after. Really couldn't ask for anything more than sitting in a big hot tub looking at the Tetons. The beds were all very comfortable. The fireplace was warm and cozy. The kitchen was well stocked with everything we needed to cook. Thank you Sven and family. Your place is lovely. We hope to return.

The place was beautiful and set up great. View was perfect. The hot tub was in the right spot to relax and look at the mountains. This was the perfect honeymoon spot after the wedding in the Tetons. Sven was so helpful with anything and even when my son was trying to get in the wrong house(haha) he unlocked the door manually from his phone. Haha. He read the sign wrong in the dark and was trying to get in the wrong rental haha. Sven was so nice through the whole thing. When I pulled up I noticed he was still at the wrong one waiting for me haha. We laughed so hard. I had to apologize for him trying wrong house and sven helping us get in right one haha. What a way to start his honey haha but we would definitely rent from them again.
