About this house rental
Close to everything yet so far removed! Enjoy the beauty of nature without ever leaving the house! White Clay Creek State Park trail entrance (via Middle Run Valley) at the end of the street, University of Delaware a 5 minute drive, countless shopping attractions and restaurants close by!
Family friendly:
Infant and toddler friendly: baby gate, pack-n-play (with bassinet insert), high chair, bath mat, infant tub, and outlet covers provided.
Dog friendly: 2 dogs maximum with a one-time, non-refundable $100 pet fee. Dogs are welcome to cuddle on the (covered) couch but kindly asked to stay off beds. Your fur babies will LOVE the fenced-in yard! Bring toys and have a blast! Two bowls, large dog bed, and towels are provided. Guest is responsible for picking up all dog poop before checkout. (If dog poop is not picked up there will be a $150 fee for additional cleaning.) It is strongly recommended dogs are crated while home alone. Crates are not provided. Guests are responsible for any damages caused by pets (or others) during their stay.
We will do our best to return any forgotten items, however, we are not responsible for any items left behind at the property. If items require shipping, it is at the guest's expense plus a $20 processing fee.
Late check-outs are charged at $50/hour. (Anything past the hour mark is considered an additional hour.)
There are security cameras located outside: front door, back door, and garage floodlight.

This is our second visit and, as before, everything was perfect. The home is extremely comfortable and clean, and Lynn is very prompt and thoughtful in her communications. The neighborhood is convenient, with food stores and restaurants nearby. Breakfast at Perkins, less than a mile away, has become a favorite start to the day. We look forward to more visits soon!

My family needed a peaceful, yet central hub to spend quality time with a family member near Christiana Hospital, and Lynn and her property were heaven-sent. The home was charming, the neighborhood was quiet, and the communication was excellent. It was exactly as described, and just what we needed.as described and just what we needed.

We have thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the charming Cape in Newark. Host Lynn was clear in her communication and accommodating regarding our request for late check out. This was very much appreciated as we are selling and buying a home on checkout day I highly recommend the charming cape to anyone interested in staying in the Newark area.

The host and the Charming Cape were perfect for visiting our student at the University of Delaware. The Location is great! It is in a quiet neighborhood, is close to the school and lots of restaurants and stores. Our dog came along for the visit too which made our student so happy. Our dog was so comfortable in the house and loved the doggie door in the back which leads to a fenced in yard giving her the freedom to go in and out. The host, Lynn, was phenomenal and thought of everything…from instructions on how to work the TV, to snacks and waters to welcome us, to perfectly made beds and every supply or item you could possibly need. She periodically checked in to be sure we had everything we needed and was super quick to respond to any questions that we had before and during our visit. We will definitely keep the Charming Cape in mind for our next visit!
