About this cabin rental
Adventure awaits at Glacier Ridge Retreat, a mountaintop cabin surrounded by breathtaking views of the Rocky Mountains! Perfect for outdoor lovers, with skiing, snowboarding, hiking, hot springs, and more within minutes.
Each floor has a bedroom and bathroom, giving your family space to relax. Plus, enjoy the updated, fully stocked kitchen—ideal for meals after a day of exploring.
We also offer free, personalized itineraries for our guests to save you time and make your trip stress-free.
Location: Less than an hour from Denver, 20 mins to downtown Idaho Springs, and a 5 min walk to the St Mary’s trailhead (voted one of Colorado’s most scenic hikes!)
Our cabin is in a woodsy mountainside, at 10,000 ft in St Mary's Glacier, Colorado. This is a paradise for outdoor activities including hiking, skiing, sledding, hot springs, ATV trails and more! The famous St. Mary's Glacier Trailhead, known for its stunning alpine lake and glacier views, is just a short 5 min walk from our front door so you won't have to pay for parking. Let us be your guide to exploring the area's natural wonders, and we'll recommend the best places to visit.
We have a full-size kitchen with new stainless steel appliances but if you don't feel like cooking we're conveniently located 12 miles from downtown Idaho Springs where you'll find an adorable mountain town filled with many shops, restaurants, bars, and a grocery store.
Cabin Highlights:
Our goal is to make your trip as smooth as possible so we've made sure to include all the amenities you might need including a coffee maker (and coffee and tea), hair dryers, soap/shampoo/conditioner, fully stocked kitchen including spices and oil, pack and play, booster seat, board games, movies, and high-speed Starlink internet so you can stream your shows.
Bonus: we just upgraded to new stainless steel appliances so you'll have a full-sized kitchen for all of your cooking needs. Full-size refrigerator, stove, dishwasher, and microwave. We also have a propane grill outside.
***Things to note:
- Please note that our cabin is located at over 10,500 ft above sea level and may not be the best fit for those who are prone to altitude sickness.
- For stays during the winter months (Oct-May) a 4WD vehicle is required.
- Fun fact: We get over 300 inches of snow each year!

Very cozy and convient location for our family to fish and off road! Only thing is it was a bit too warm for us the AC didnt seem to hit the upstairs. Loved that out was secluded and nestled in trees

This place was word for word exactly as described in the advertisement. My husband and I stayed for 7 nights, taking advantage of all the nearby opportunities available to mountain cabin vacationers. Every night, and every morning one of us would say how perfect this place is! I highly recommend it!

This cabin is beautiful and the area is magnificent. It is clean, cozy and hosts are great. We were unable to stay because of the very high altitude and I wish I had understood that before I booked. This cabin is above 10,000 ft. We were all sick and unable to stay. If heading there from just about sea level as we were you might want to acclimate for a day or 2 lower like Denver or Idaho Springs. The place really is amazing but wanted to warn others.
