+ Efficient heating system and 2 "Evaporative Cooling Systems" - An evaporative cooler lowers the air temperature by passing outdoor air over water-soaked pads and then pulling the cooled evaporated air into the home. Evaporative cooling systems can be used effectively in the dry desert air of Mesa County. Operating instructions are included in the home, but it does require a window or two to be cracked open to allow for circulation. This cooling effect will achieve similar home temperatures as other forms of cooling; however, the air may feel more humid and be louder (due to the fan) than refrigerated air units.

The house was exactly what we needed, plenty of common area space, spacious bedrooms, everything we needed to cook a meal and toys for the kid - exactly as advertised.

My family and I were so happy with Shady Acres. It fulfilled everything we needed and wanted. It was very close to my daughters house in Loma as well as the wedding venue in Mack. Kristy our host was amazing. She responded to all of my questions and concerns in a timely manner. And when we missed our flight she was so kind to accommodate my family again. We will definitely use the services again on our next stay. Much Mahalo;)

this house is huge! it was great to have a bedroom for each member of our group.just to know: the house is dated but very comfortable and it met our needsrooms are large so more folks could stay if blow up mattresses were brought along and could be used to share bedrooms; all but one bedroom is on the second floortv could be upgraded -- it's tiny for the room it's in; bonus room bed is lumpy.only about 10 or so minutes to grocery store and gas; maybe 25 minutes to heart of Grand Junctionlocation is quiet; railroad tracks sort of nearby

The house is very spacious and close to all Fruita/Grand Junction has to offer. However, the air conditioning vents spewed black particles all over the sheets/bedding and furniture when it was turned on. It was really hot, so AC was definitely a must. Mouse droppings in the freezer. Dirty greasy fry pan in the oven (oven was dirty as well). Cobwebs everywhere. Refrigerator was leaking a lot of water, even though there was no waterline to the unit. When I contacted the management company I was told it was a weekend, so there was not much they could do. I called again on Monday and they said the owners need a new fridge. I was not impressed by the service, nor did I receive any reassuring answers. I travel a lot and use vrbo exclusively. This is the only bad experience I have had renting a place.
