About this villa rental
Built in the mid '800, the building originally housed the stables of the adjacent Villa de Sangro Fondi. The building, still owned by the de Sangro Fondi family, has recently been completely renovated.
Furnished with original furniture and prints, it still retains the charm of the period house, while being equipped with all modern comforts.
The large garden, typical "fondo Sorrentino" with large citrus groves, walnut trees, ornamental plants and equipped patio, frame this historic residence and allow the parking of 2-3 cars.
The property is conveniently located in the historic center of Piano di Sorrento. Just 50 meters from the villa is the elevator that leads down to the characteristic village of Marina di Cassano, home to typical restaurants, bathing establishments and a base for tourist boat trips, as well as a place of embarkation for Capri.
At 700 meters is the Circumvesuviana train station, with which it is possible to reach the archaeological sites of Pompeii and Herculaneum, as well as the city of Naples.

Fantastic villa, plenty of space for 12 adults, 1 baby, the 2 kitchens and dining areas were a bonus. Bedrooms large, bathrooms were good too, 1 minute walk to lift down to beach. 10 minute walk to station, 3 minute walk to supermarket, 2 minute walk to a cafe/bar overlooking the sea. Main town of Piano Di Sorrento 15 minute walk away with some great places to eat. The villa has the option of having a chef cook a 3 course meal - you MUST hire Rosa as her food is divine and is great value. She uses produce from her garden so everything is made fresh from scratch and is absolutely divine. We engaged her twice!

The property is beautiful and in a very central location. Valentino was wonderful in responding to any questions or issues we had. Rose made a wonderful dinner for all of us one evening. Would definitely return.

To sum our stay up in one word it was - PERFECT! The house is wonderful and very well equipped! Valentino (house manager) was so helpful before and during our stay. One of the many highlights was Rosa! She cooked for us twice and it was FANTASTIC! She is a great cook and a great person - we highly recommend her!!!

Really enjoyed staying here with our family of 9. 7 adults and two kids ages 7 and 11. Beds were king size and one bedroom had twin beds. Beautiful garden with oranges and lemons. The kids made fresh squeezed orange juice from the garden with the electric juicer in the kitchen. Dining table upstairs was large enough for all of us. It was exciting to stay in such an old landmark. Let me just say 'Rosa' the chef was such a nice addition to have after being out and touring all day to come back home and have a meal ready for you so all we had to do was relax and enjoy our evening. Rosa made everyone feel like family. She used fresh vegetables from her garden and made a special dessert with every meal. We did three dinners and one breakfast with her (additional cost from home). We had the following dinners:1) roast chicken, potatoes, pasta with cheese and pepper sauce, salad, bread and the kids had pasta and chicken bites and we all had tiramisu for dessert2) pizza and for dessert we had Nutella pizza3) lasagna, salad, bread, and we had chocolate torte (caprese)all meals included, wine, water, sodaWe did one breakfast as well bacon, eggs, fresh fruit, bread, pastries, juice, coffee, waterInstead of booking pizza making tour, we decided to let Rosa do a pizza making demonstration with the kids and they loved it. This was so much more personal and we did not have to go out after a long day of touring.I would highly recommend booking Rosa. Come hungry is all I can say!
