About this house rental

This fully furnished single family home is perfect for a couple or family visiting Boston. Enjoy picture-perfect Charlestown, one of Boston’s oldest neighborhoods, while staying in this 3 bedroom 2 bath home. The entire home has been recently renovated and features a gourmet kitchen, open floor plan, high-end furniture, three smart TV's, fireplace, high-end exercise equipment, and a stunning, private rooftop deck with a hot tub! My home is situated on three levels with one bedroom, one bath and a private patio on the lower level. This room is currently set up as a large bedroom with full bath and contains an American Leather very comfortable fold-out bed and high-end exercise equipment. The kitchen and living room is on the entry level. The kitchen has stainless steel appliances and a kitchen island as well as the living room has a fold-top dining table. Upstairs there are two bedrooms and a full bath with dual showerheads. The master bedroom has a king sized bed and the second bedroom is set up with two individual loft beds with twin mattresses. Above that is the amazing rooftop deck. I have a "nook" we use as a desk space which can also be used with a pack and play for a baby.

You’re just a five minute walk to the Whole Foods Market, restaurants and bars, the Bunker Hill Monument, Boston’s Historic Freedom Trail, and the orange line “T” subway station. Very close to Cambridge and Harvard University. Right next door is a kid’s playground and park, a bus stop rental bikes, and all the conveniences you could hope for. Take a short walk over the bridge to the Boston Garden (TD Garden) for a Celtics game or concert, or the historic North End for amazing Italian restaurants (don’t miss the legendary pastry shops) and night life. You can always just stay home and enjoy breathtaking views of downtown Boston from the rooftop deck.

We truly enjoyed our stay. The home was a home- meaning it wasn't generic and didn't feel like an impersonal hotel. The location was great and we easily walked to North Shore and caught public transportation to other areas. Loved the owners vinyl record collection. The host allowed usage and as an engaging and unique way to connect, welcomed additions. Something to note that may be noted already somewhere but that I missed when booking: there are stairs required for all bedrooms. If you have issues with stairs, you may need to find another place, but if you don't, this one is a charmer.

We had a wonderful stay at this VRBO—highly recommended for families with kids! The location was fantastic, close to everything we wanted to see and do. The rooftop hot tub was a highlight, with incredible views that we enjoyed in the evening. My daughter loved the trampoline, the toys provided, and the park just one block away was perfect for her to play. The home had everything we needed to cook meals comfortably, and the beds were very comfortable. The AC worked well, and having three TVs was a nice bonus for downtime. The neighborhood was quiet, private, and very walkable. I highly recommend this home!

This is a great house with fantastic air conditioning, which was really crucial because we were in Boston during a horrendous heat wave. I only have a couple of issues. First, the house is on what is basically an alley, not a street, and there is no parking available nearby. We did not know this when we booked as the listing says "Parking available." We ended up booking a space in a garage just over a mile away. Not a big deal unless the heat index is near 100 degrees, which it was, and the listing should be clearer about this issue. And this was a shock: there was NO COFFEE. There was a coffee maker, but no pods for it. Even a cheap motel these days has a couple of pods for the Keurig, and indeed there were tea pods. But no coffee. We ended up walking a few blocks to an excellent coffee bar each of the two mornings we were there, but it just felt very stingy that the host couldn't supply a few lousy pods for what we were paying per night. Note that towel storage is haphazard and you may have to dig around the closets for what you need. The housekeeper does not put out sets for the guests and finding a washcloth was a bit of a treasure hunt. Other than that, we enjoyed our two nights and the neighbor lady is a genuine treat. In fact, everyone we encountered in our whirlwind tour of Boston was super pleasant. Can't wait to go back.

The house was very nice. No dish soap. No shower soap. The major problem is that the owner did not leave us a parking permit. There is no parking available at all around the house. If you want to park your car, you will have to move it every two hours and in the morning you must move the car by 8 AM. We had to find a public parking lot and park our car there for the rest of the visit and take Ubers everywhere. The owner should have gotten a temporary parking permit for us, but we had no idea that this was the parking situation until we got there. We should have been told upfront in the description of the home before renting. The two bunk beds are quite small for adults.
