Sloans Lake Walk to eateries bars Free parking

The apartment is the bottom floor of a split-level house. It's very bright and has lots of windows. The neighborhood is very quiet and family friendly. I was able to walk to several restaurants 10 minutes away. The grocery store is 5 minutes away (driving) and downtown is only 10 minutes away. The hosts were quick to respond to any questions and helped with very minor issues. The set up is very comfortable and feels like someone's home, not a hotel or vacant apartment with basic furniture (like some rentals). There are blankets on the couch while you watch TV, games and puzzles, pots and pans, utensils, plates and mugs in the kitchen for cooking in and extra blankets for the beds in case you get cold. I would come back.

There is no temperature control in the apartment. This was a surprise to me, but they said I could text anytime if I was cold and they did have extra fans and space heaters just in case I was hot or cold.

The location was amazing and the facilities were good. The hosts were available when we needed something. The kitchen was well stocked and the laundry facilities were good. Parking is on the street but we were always able to find something relatively close. There is a farmer's market just up the street on Sundays in the summer and that was great. The neighborhood is very walkable. It was nice to be able to ditch the car at the end of the day and walk to dinner or for drinks.

The unit was noisy and a couple days the sweet doggo upstairs barked a lot. It didn't bother us too much but if you have a toddler who needs a midday nap or if you are a light sleeper, it can get a little noisy. Also, deliveries and visitors for the upstairs unit came to our door repeatedly. I think it isn't marked well that the rental unit isn't the main unit. We once had someone actually walk in the front door thinking they were at the upstairs unit. That was a bit obnoxious.

We had a blast. The property is located in a quaint neighborhood with a lot of good food options a quick walk away. On Sunday we walked up to the Farmers Market. It is centrally located so it was easy to get to the different parts of the city. The place had plenty of space for the six of us with lots of games the kids and us could play. The kitchen was stocked with all the essentials.
