Hotel Sonar Bangla Mayapur

Beautifully constructed resort. Large area with lot of green. Oriental and continental food quality is very good. Indian food not as much. The pool is excellent. Lots of walking areas among the greenery. Very clean and staff is extremely prompt. Room is quite large and so is the bathroom. we had a sit out balcony overlooking the garden. lots of parking space.

Staff in the restaurant needs to be trained a bit better so that they do not say that "they do not provide table mats for breakfast". Cutlery set to be completed with a knife. I asked them for an iron and ironing board, which surprisingly they did not have. Not even laundry service.

Breakfast was very good. Healthy & ample of food available.

I thought the room tariff was on much higher side. Since I travel notional & international , considering the property , room tariff was very high. I was staying in villa with twin beds , it costs 9000 per night , which is very high.

Property is Good but for our group booking, on last day no hot water was available. Nexus with local tottos( e rickshaws) charging exorbitant rates which should not be left to the customers, and it should be facilitated by the property only

For the group, Booking, electricity for catering and decoration is dependent on the diesel generator set, which is very much against the environmental concerns. Rather than this electricity meter for use as per the services be provided so that customer does not have to pay exorbitant charges of diesel generator set at ₹900 per hour, moreover, for our separate booking ID HSBMY0014368, AND REFERENCE ID6915709318 IN RESPECT OF BOOKING OF 4 ROOMS FROM 20TH NOVEMBER TO 21ST NOVEMBER, WE WERE TOLD THAT OUR BOOKING HAS BEEN CANCELLED BY THE BOOKING.COM. ON THE PORTAL, IT WAS SHOWING THE ACTIVE BOOKING, BUT in spite of showing to the booking details at the reception, they didn’t receive any confirmation from the Booking.com. Moreover, I also sent a couple of messages to the booking.com but no response was received. There is no provision by Booking.com to contact telephonically, so that such inconvenience can be addressed. This resulted in fresh Booking by me as the reception at Mayapur sonar Bangla adamant that as they have not received any response from Booking.com, they can’t help. Again reiterated that the portal was showing it as active Booking and still it is showing as a completed trip.
