I had deliberately chosen this housing arrangement as a "no frills" accommodation, in an effort to recreate the housing situation I encountered in the Indian Village of Marabella/Tarouba several decades ago, when I first arrived at Trinidad, in order to spend the winter months there, also enjoying the calypso and steelband performances as a prelude to the carnival showdown, with its calypso king & queen competiation. Therefore I did not mind the spartanic setting, without A/C, but I had expected to have at least a shared use of a refrigerator to cool some juices and soft drinks. I was on a sentimental journey---driving across Trinidad & Tobago---so it was my plan to drive around from sunrise to sunset. The Wifi worked very well, and the host had kindly solved my plug adapter problem going from the German norm to the US plug norm. While I brought my adapters for re-charging my mobile phones, the "Schuko" plug for my laptop did not fit into the receptacle, so that I need a flat surface intake receptacle for the SCHUKO plug, and I was very happy that the host found one for me. The bathroom facility was functional and when I elevated the fan in the bedroom, so that it could ventilate the air above the mattress surface, the heat was not felt to badly at night when I was attempting to fall sleep. I did not make any use of the terrace, but the view from there is very beautiful, particularly at night time. There was even a kettle, and soluble coffee powder, as well as creamer powder and sugar, so that a hot coffee could be prepared at any time. Given the sharply rising prices in both Trinidad Tobago, the housing arrangement provided a good value for the money.

It would have been nice to have access to a small refrigerator, and the kind host had promised to add one for futural rentals....
