Casa Eliana

The villa was in a lovely location but a car was needed to shop at the large supermarket. It was a 20 mins walk into town. We arrived 2 days before school holidays ended so had children in nearby pools. The noise carries so if you want peace and quiet, avoid these times. The villas are very close together. Once the children had left, we didn't hear a thing and had a very quiet, relaxing holiday.

The instructions for the villa were poor. We had to phone the housekeeper as we could not find the washing machine or the safe. There were no cleaning products available to clean surfaces in the kitchen, so we had to buy some. This was important because there is an ant problem in the kitchen and we had to kill at least 50-60 ants at night. Food had to be kept in the fridge or the microwave.

The villa is lovely and really there isn't anything to grumble about. Perfect communication with hosts. One thing I would say, if I had younger children, due to the layout I would have wanted a baby monitor for their room as the bedrooms are opposite ends of the villa but for my family they're older so all fine! Location is about a 15 min walk to the town and beach, it's up hill coming back so in the heat a slow walk, but plenty of taxis to grab if needed. Main supermarket is a 5 minute drive away, there is a local store about 10 min walk for basic essentials. Beds were extremely comfortable. We had a fabulous stay!

Not things I didn't like, but things that might be considered - plastic plates and cups would have been great for outside dining. We didn't see (but also didn't ask) about a broom to sweep up leaves from the BBQ area, but it wasn't an issue at all.
