Very comfortable and the property was exactly as listed. Felt very safe and it was a nice having a common area, too.

room was clean. Needs a little attention to fixing some minor issues like painting, no plant in the hanging plant holder. Again just minor! Walls are fairly thin so you hear other guests. All in all it was very convinient to our daughters place. Local area is amazing with many food/convinience establishments!

The room was clean but not functional in terms of the range and microwave. There is a clearly known electrical issue which has not been addressed so I would not plan on having that work if you plan to stay here. I worry that it could be a fire hazard. Fortunately there was a functional full kitchen on the first level so I was able to heat up my food. The plant in the room was half dead due to lack of water. The parking is not a great situation but not terrible either.

Very nice stay and so easy to come and go. A few things though...we had one big towel to share between two people and a backed chair would have been a nice thing to have in the room or even inn the common space.

We booked Ballard Suite Sweets due to limited options in the area, but it’s definitely more of a hostel than a suite or hotel. After booking, I had to fill out a long survey with personal info, pay a non-refundable cleaning fee, and then a security deposit before getting check-in info. It felt excessive to pay three separate times for one stay. The room is tiny with thin walls — you’ll hear every footstep, conversation, tv etc. We arrived to find two spiders and dirty floors (our socks picked up debris and transferred some to bed.. well at least we hope that was cause vs dirty sheets.. :’)). Supplies were also minimal: the toilet paper roll was nearly empty, and there was only one shower towel until we found another under the sink. The layout is odd, with a mini stove and sink right next to the bed even though there’s a shared kitchen downstairs. We didn’t use it and would’ve preferred more space. During our stay, another guest cooked something very stinky in shared kitchen that filled the whole building — improved ventilation or an air purifier would help. Late checkout was also a hassle. I asked right after booking and was told to wait until our stay, only to be told no. Would’ve preferred a clear answer upfront so I could make plan beforehand. Once all the hoops were jumped through, the location was convenient. Fine if you just need a place to sleep between 3 p.m. and a firm 10 a.m. checkout, but set expectations low — this is a hostel style crash pad, not a suite.

Clean and comfortable accommodation. Afternoons outside are very busy, especially during the week as Ballard High School is across the street, but once the traffic cleared out we were able to park our car right out front.

This was an amazing find! My room was comfortable and attractively furnished. The entire facility was immaculately clean. They've obviously thought of everything in terms of convenience. And the location can't be beat. In addition the host was very helpful and responded to every inquiry almost immediately. Yes, the intake form was a little tedious, but as that's literally the only thing I could possibly find to complain about, it was totally worth it.

Room was clean and easy to get to from the city bus. Only negative experience we had is we were unable to lo register for the room early. Our plan landed at 1130 and we got to the facility around 1 and had to wait until 2:45 to access our room. We also were unable to drop off our bags so we waited on the street with our bags until allowed access.

Decent place for the price, no designated parking area. Place was relatively clean. It is a shared living room area so you just have a room to yourself. Checking in was confusing and had a lot of steps. You have to fill out a pre check in survey that is delivered to your email.

I recommend this place for a quick visit, otherwise you’d feel cramped with two people. The common area didn’t feel inviting, just two desks and a kitchen with no seating area. I would prefer a couch instead or at least some chairs for the kitchen island, so that there is somewhere else to spend some time, because in the bedrooms there’s just a bed and the little kitchen is a step away from it. I don’t understand where we’re supposed to eat - on the bed? At the desks in the common area? The host was polite and responsive but I felt like I received too many emails. The host uses a third party service for the cleaning fee and deposit, and that felt a little sketchy to us. The service even asked for a photo of my credit card, which is too much I think. Overall we had no problems at all, the place is clean and in a safe neighborhood. A pleasant walk to all the bars and restaurants in Ballard, good and reliable transportation if you need it as well.

Pretty terrible experience checking in. I don’t think it indicated anywhere on the listing that there was no person to take care of checking in. The process for Check on my phone took about 25 to 30 minutes while I’m standing outside of the hotel. Security of this site does not feel very good for a city.

The rooms are well thought out, very comfortable, with a sense of style and a sense of humor that lends warmth and personality. Plenty of towels, pillows, useful kitchen things. The washing machine and dryer are free to operate--luxury to have a set on each floor. Somebody thought it through very well. The one niggle is that the three in one shampoo/body wash/bubble bath feels waxy or sticky. Take your own, and encourage them to get a different brand.

It was a small unit but I knew that booking here. It was all about location and we easily found parking near the unit on most days. It met our needs since we didn't plan to cook in our unit but simply wanted a nice place to sleep. There is no air conditioner but the fan worked well. I'd stay here again.

Stayed in Seattle for the weekend, stayed at the Ballard Suites! We didn’t bring a car, but relied on public transportation. There was a bus stop near by that was super convenient! Yummy places to eat nearby! Friendly and easy communication with Vince. Will most likely stay again if visiting Seattle!

1- stressful to be sure I could get in. check time 3 - I arrive 12:00 a.m. but phoned several times to make sure I could get in. 2. Hassle with sign up. To have more emails upon my other emails.... stressful 3. Looks at night are pitch black so you can see any of the numbers. So you hit the wrong one just to get the light on. Had to do several times. Need a light on them. 4. Shower curtain inside protector - the plastic part was 2/3rds the curtain. Never seen anything like it. end of curtain got wet. 5. mattress compressed on side i slept in. felt like going to fall off. 6. the refrigerator or something whined on pretty loud every half hour or so.

Would not recommend for lack of AC, which should be posted in description, despite listing “heater” in comfort. If that doesn’t bother you, then you’ll be fine. However, there is an AC unit in the common area, which is the first floor. It honestly wouldn’t be that difficult to add AC to the rest of the rooms. Save your money and book elsewhere, considering it’s nonrefundable. We didn’t stay and ended up booking a hotel for the rest of our trip.

Was everything that was advertised. Really nice and clean. One suggestion I would make is to change out the heavy blanket during the hot season. In the south facing room I was in it did get quite warm during the day and the duvet was more than what was necessary. Thank you Ill definitely be back!

Very disappointed. The listing failed to mention the lack of air conditioning—a crucial detail that would’ve changed our decision to book. The information was misleading. We booked two nights but couldn’t stay due to it being 80+ degrees in the unit. It was also VERY small. We called the owner immediately and he offered to have a fan delivered the next day - so we did not stay either night and they still charged us for both as well as a cleaning fee, despite no cleaning being done. Also note there is VERY limited street parking, so if you don’t get there early you will be hauling your luggage down the street. Overall, a frustrating and misleading experience I wouldn’t recommend.

For me it was a perfect stay. I was visiting a friend and it was a ten minute walk from her apartment. It was clean and comfy. The host was responsive and super nice! I recommend it to my friend, if she has any guests coming over that she wants close. I would stay there again!

Our stay here was incredibly disappointing and uncomfortable. The room was tiny, and the renovations seemed shoddy. Worst of all, the constant, loud dog barking at night made it utterly impossible to sleep. We couldn't tolerate the awful conditions and ended up checking out a day early, even though we didn't receive any refund. This was truly a miserable experience.

The location was really convenient. We could walk to downtown Ballard, plus there were lots of great places within a few blocks. Our room was efficient. It would have been nice to have a chair in the room to read vs the small bench. The communal kitchen on the first floor was a nice addition. We also appreciated having a small kitchen in our room.

Could not speak to anyone who actually knew about the property. No air-conditioning/didn’t work Advertised shared space was tiny with no chairs, did not advertise it could not be used after 10pm. The Room was not shown to be so tiny on the pictures. For the cost I should have just stayed at a hotel.

I stay at this property 3 times a month as I travel to Seattle to work. Last week when I was going up to my designated room I got distracted and scrolled up to a previous check-in text. I went to that room and entered the code. Sure enough, the code worked, I opened the door and the room was occupied. Scared the crap out of the guy lying on the bed. What this means is that THEY DONT CHANGE THE CODE AFTER EACH DEPARTURE. So, in theory, I have the code to several rooms. I told the management and the guy said “ I understand your request to have the code changed after each guest's departure. I normally do that, but in this case, I wasn't able to update it in time yesterday due to scheduling constraints. That's why the code from the previous reservation was still active. Thank you for your understanding, and please know I'll make sure the code is updated moving forward”. Well, actually this doesn't add up. I stayed in that room the previous wow week so it should’ve been changed a week ago after I checked out which clearly, it wasn’t. I never got a response back from mgmt. I’m making this review because I think ppl show no about this security issue.
