After a month of traveling throughout Italy, our stay at Misia Country Resort stands out as one of the absolute best. Seriously, this place is not to be missed. Our experience here was far above expectation. The cleanliness was impeccable, and the property conditions and facilities were truly first-rate—everything was perfect, well-maintained, and comfortable. The Unmissable Hike and View While the hotel is a destination in itself, there is one experience here that is an absolute must-do: the hike up the nearby hill. Don't let the incline put you off! It's a relatively short but rewarding climb that takes you through a winding stone path flanked by incredible rose bushes. Once you reach the top, the reward is an utterly breathtaking panoramic view. You get a spectacular perspective of the entire Tuscan valley spread out below you. Go just before sunset if you can; the light is pure magic. It's the kind of view that will stick with you long after you've left. We highly recommend Misia Country Resort to friends and family—it was one of the highlights of our entire Italian journey!

We loved this property. The only hiccups were the shower head was not working and the floor board was coming up in the bathroom. Everything else was fantastic and the bed and room were so so comfortable!

Beautiful location. Property was very nice. However, the top sheet on the bed was as scratchy as sand paper and the towels smelled terrible. Towels were not replaced next day. Food at breakfast was exactly the same each morning, meaning the food was more stale each day. A few changes and the place would be excellent.

The most amazing place to stay. So quite. The views are like nothing I’ve seen before. And you must go on the walking trail around and up the property for the ultimate view of Orvieto!!

It was so peaceful at the resort. It’s 3 miles outside the city wall and there are 3 taxis in town but if you reserve ahead of time, there are no issues going back and forth. Everyone was so kind and after being in some crazy chaotic touristy areas, it was nice to be somewhere calm. The room was incredible and the bed was so comfortable! Everything was beautiful and would stay again!

This was such a lovely property with unique yet well-equipped rooms, a delightful host, and amazing views. I’m so glad we were able to stay here. There’s only one restaurant within walking distance which was fully booked, but we were able to get a cab and have a delicious dinner in the beautiful old downtown area. Definitely recommend!

There is a lot of beautiful options in Tuscany and this location has nothing to offer. The view is nice but nothing special compared to the general areas. Very difficult to reach and no amenities/shops around. We arrived late and was rushing to head to the last dinner option at a nearby resort. We felt pressured by the owner to upgrade to a “suite” despite saying no multiple times for the cost of 30% more. At the end we gave in, however the so-called suite is a small standard size room, bare, with a small leather sofa which we couldnt use for sleeping anyway (the main reason for the pressure was 1 adult and 2 children), the shower door is broken. We wanted to change back to original booking (sleep 3) but it was so late and we wouldnt make it to dinner. Breakfast offer was poor, with stale bread and the worst meat and cheese in our entire italy trip (given the location we would expect that some local farm food would make sense rather than cheap supermarket selection) We were there for only 12 hours.

This resort was pretty far from the city of Orvieto. The hostess was really quite sweet, but we were not thrilled with the order of this place and the common area was not awesome. It was okay.

Beautiful view from architecturally unique hotel built on cliff. Spacious, quiet room decorated modern Italian. Bit far from Orvieto and any amenities. Need taxi (expensive and possibly overcharged). Special honeymoon pajama pants went missing after room was cleaned. Disappointed with that, otherwise it’s a great place to stay!

This is a beautiful, country inn with great views, upscale rooms, peace and quiet and a terrific host. The decor is like something in a magazine: eclectic, creative, warm, and rich. Our view was of the valley and the room was very quiet and comfortable. Breakfast was excellent (lots of fresh fruit which we were missing) and the dining area was full of neat decorating touches. There is a short, stunning hike you can do up the rock face just behind the inn and it would be a lovely place at sun-up or sundown.

We had an amazing stay at Misia. We arrived on the late side and were welcomed with a glass of wine and George allowed us to join in their amazing dinner of sea food and more of the incredible local wine. Misia is an amazing inn and resort with an aesthetic that is soothing and relaxing. It was a wonderful way for us to end our trip in Italy.
