Thimble Hall

Thimble cottage is in a great location, easy distance between Ambleside and Keswick. It’s a a few minutes from the center of Grasmere, but very quiet. Easdale tarn and How Crag are on your doorstep. Thimble hall is lovely inside, lots of character. Plenty of room to relax. Real fire. All you need in the lakes

Only complain. Not enough toilet roll or kitchen roll. And dishwasher, although clean, it hadn’t dried well and so was very smelly. Cleaned up after an empty run and left the door down.

Excellent location, quiet with very easy short walk into Grasmere and parking for 2-3 cars.

A great renovation that has good quality fixtures and fittings but needs a bit of maintenance and a thorough clean. Eg. downstairs bathroom - no seal at back of sink so black mould. Base of taps haven’t been cleaned properly for a while and additional hose on shower missing. Damp stains on ceiling in hall way etc. Nothing major but small maintenance jobs that collectively detract from what is a lovely property that is very well located and equipped.
