Cute, neat, great value for money

Absolute value for money. Surprised to find such a neat hotel in Winterthur for this price. I usually live in Winti, so haven't ever tried out other hotels in the area, but was very satisfied. No visible staff, everything was automated with codes and messages via WhatsApp, but very clear instructions. Very clean and spacious room, and free Nespresso downstairs in the lobby. Beautiful high ceilings, nice view of a little nook of the city I used to cycle by to get to the station, so a little nostalgic too. Super close to the station, about 3 minutes by foot.

Great Stay

Great stay in the heart of Winterthur” I really enjoyed my stay at Centra Hotel Winterthur. The location is perfect, right in the city center and close to the train station, which made it easy to explore the town and also travel around. The room was clean, comfortable, and quiet, and the bed was very cozy. The staff were friendly and helpful, always ready to answer questions or give tips about the area. Overall, a very pleasant experience I would happily stay here again.

Pleasant and peaceful stay in the heart of Winterthur.

Breakfast was good. The room was clean. The reception service was excellent. There is an imbiss (Fabi Imbiss) next to the hotel that offers authentic and delicioius dishes (you must try their lahmacun). This is the only hotel that I would stay at my next visit to Winterthur.

The room was clean, well-kept, and comfortable, with everything needed for a short stay. The bed was cozy, and the bathroom was modern and spotless. Check-in was smooth, and the staff were friendly and helpful. The hotel’s location meant I had easy access to shops, cafés, and restaurants within minutes. Good for a few nights.

Great location, since close to train station and down town. Everything was clean and the room had a good size. WE liked that we could open the front door and the room by using the numeric codes.

The bathroom is super small. There is a huge step when you enter the bathroom, which might not work for someone who has problems with that. During the night it can be quite noisy, due to restaurants, bars and train station close by. The breakfast was ok, nothing special and the service could be a bit more attentive.

Close to Winterthur train station. Rooms were a good size

I knew there was no A/C, but messaged hotel before arriving and was promised fans. Only received 1 & we had 2 rooms for our family of 5. VERY hot. Hard to sleep. Opening windows just added to outside noise. Bathrooms are so small, the toilet was in the area with the shower curtain for my kids room and the whole floor gets wet while showering.

Unresolved Double Charge – Very Disappointing

Location

I booked and prepaid for my room via Booking.com, but when I arrived, their self-check-in kiosk demanded payment again before giving me the room code. I was forced to pay twice just to access my room. Despite sending all payment confirmations and being told the issue would be handled urgently, I was repeatedly ignored. It's now been over 1.5 months with no resolution or refund. Unprofessional and frustrating experience—I do not recommend staying here.

Hotel Perron was convient for my conference at ZHAW - and close to central downtown Winterthur. The breakfast options were limited but quite delicious. A huge bonus - the staff sent a dress that I forgot in the wardrobe!

The hotel was very nice, clean, and new looking. breakfast was delicious with a wide selection to choose from.

I did not like the fact that I needed a code to be able to get into the entrance door of the hotel, to check in. I was never sent a code, so I kocked on the door for a while until it was opened, Thankfully someone was there, or I would have been in trouble.
