Great stay after a very frustrating check in process.

Beautiful room, well stocked. Quiet and private. Surroundings were serene. Nice cafe on the property.

Difficult virtual check in process. We never received the room/passkey or directions to the property. Had to make 4 calls to get that accomplished. Calls were answered promptly, which was helpful, although one representative gave us an incorrect room/passkey. There is poor signage within the compound directing to the bungalows especially after dark. A 5th call was needed after our stay to clear up check in deficiencies.

Beautifully designed mid century bungalow in a prime location between Joshua Tree and Palm Springs made for a great quic

I booked the Mountain View bungalow and the sights were beyond what I was expecting! Fully equipped kitchen allowed me to prepare light meals, coffee, and sip my own wine as if I were at home. Huge patio gave me lots of optional seats and views, and the grounds were well maintained with lots of places to explore. I brought my dog along and the accommodations from providing a dog bed, waste bags, and a little toy shaped like the iconic yucca trees was a very sweet detail.

Not the experience we hoped for / no value for money

Location was in nice setting although very close to road.

Did not see staff, no personal touch at all, all per text. The room was dirty. The promised coffee was a torn down French press, did not work anymore. The restaurant was closed so had t drive 4 mile to get coffee from Starbucks. Last: the cottages are connected: the walls are very thin we heard the neighbors on both sides... we had a room next to laundry also noisy

Bedbugs

Location and nicely decorated

Unacceptable experience. We found a dead insect in the bed that strongly looked like a dead bedbug (see picture), and the staff openly admitted another unit had been infested on August 21st (2 weeks prior to our stay). That night, they offered NO solution and simply left us to deal with it. Management later minimized the situation (they kept repeating it was a “desert insect”) and promised a higher discount (5% on top of the initial 10%) but never paid what they committed to! On top, their emails were shockingly dismissive and completely unprofessional.

Great but needs a private pool desperately.

Design

The lack of private pool is deceiving. The public access pool is borderline disgusting with slimy water and old beat up furniture. It’s creepy and almost shocking. This would be fine if the IG page and website didn’t make it appear private and nice. You need your own water feature even small cowboy soaking tubs.

Very quiet and peaceful. Enjoyed use of firepit, pool and hot tub.

keyless entry. Not far from JTNP west entrance. Very clean, everything we needed. Full kitchen which we used. Loved the outdoor patios and firepit.

Tell in Guide where the Recycle bin is. Took us a while to find it.

It was very relaxing and my husband and I had a great time!

They communicated with us by text message so it was easy to get the code. Accommodation was clean and we love the modern look. It was dark enough at night to stargaze so that was a plus!!

I liked everything. I'd only say that I got a bit confused with the items in the room and if they were free or not. I could have asked though but did not bother me enough to ask.

Great getaway in amazing location

The location was amazing, great view of the desert, so quiet, everything was perfect and the room was equipped with so many things to do for a getaway vacation, I had great experience

To much technology, some difficulties with registration but the manager on the location was very helpful to support, very early check out (11 AM)

Its a nice calm getaway place

The property was a peaceful oasis! Everything about it was stunning, and I truly enjoyed spending time by the pool. It was the perfect escape!

I found a roach in the morning, but aside from that, the place was mostly clean. However, we did discover a long curly hair on the morning of check-out while we were completely undoing the bed. We realized it wasn't ours, as neither of us has long or curly hair.

Wonderful bungalow with a view and privacy.

1) After paying and driving 12 hours, had to call four times to get the bungalow # and door code. Since it was after hours, the person who answered had no information about this specific property and check-in was a nightmare, to the point I almost had to book another hotel. Even after following up the next day, the manager accepted no responsibility or expressed any empathy for my ordeal or inconvenience. 2) dirty nightstand 3) no hot water

Peaceful desert getaway near Joshua Tree National Park

Very cute mid-mod property that looks just like the photos. Very clean and well-maintained. We appreciated the amenities and stocked kitchen since it is located a little outside of town, which is why we chose it. We wanted to be away from the lights to take in the night sky and the desert scenery. It isn't far enough out of town to get a true dark sky effect, but we could still see many stars and hints of the Milky Way from the firepit area. We appreciated being adjacent to the retreat center, as it is a very peaceful property with a labyrinth, and it's a short walk to their pool.

fabulous rooms, beautiful scenery, great value but iscolated

The rooms and location were AMAZING. We were SO thrilled to stay here for 1 night. kitchen well stocked and beatiful spot. We were there in the sumemr, so perhaps it was the timing but it felt a bitttt deserted. Would have loved if there was a gym, as there is not a ton to do nearby. Cafe was closed the day we were there . We saw maybe 4 peopel during our stay, and with no front desk kept saying that we were happy otheres were there..... a bit freaky being that alone in the desert

the swimmming pool looked like it was forgotten.... slighly creepy and felt like we were breaking into an abandoned pool area (since its pretty far away and near an abandoned building.

Not worth the price

It was clean and well designed

Traveling with a dog, we had to pay $100 extra that was unexpected. We learned about this policy while doing the check in and were very disappointed. We felt like we got ripped off. Moreover, the suite we paid for that was supposed to have a view did not, like most of the bungalow. We had to request to change rooms, as the only landscape we saw was the bungalow in front of us.

The check-in process wasn’t as smooth as anticipated. The electronic lock did not work to open the door. There was an employee at the front desk, but to be honest, she seemed uninterested and providing good customer service with a smile. It felt like I was interrupting whatever she was doing. I was the only patron in the office.

Comfortable, clean and relaxing

No breakfast offered, although granola and fruit bars were available among other healthy snacks for a fee. Coffee and tea were complimentary. We loved the mid century vibe of the buildings and furnishings. I reached out to management a couple of times and they responded immediately. Such beautiful and relaxing accommodations to come to after a day of hiking !
