Orchard retreat off grid shepherds huts in Dorset

The hut was beautifully set in a lovely orchard field surrounded by pigs and the sound of other farm animals. The bed and pillows were so comfy, the facilities were great and the hosts were on hand with anything we needed. The hot tub really is the best way to end the evening and we loved that it’s wood fired, they sure can get toasty. We loved eating and drinking locally from their own cider to pork to local ice creams. I can’t fault what they have going on there- it was pure bliss. Just what we needed to relax and unwind. Thank you so much. I will definitely be back again.

Absolutely nothing. I loved everything

We had the most amazing weekend stay. Such a peaceful location, the shepherds hut was lovely, had everything you needed. Firepit and hot tub were fab and we thoroughly enjoyed it all. Wood fired pizza and cider down at the barn on Saturday was a real treat.

Beautiful location, with great views. Was lovely to sit outside (in or out of the hot tub) and enjoy the peace and stars. Hut was comfortable and cosy. Facilities were basic but were fine for a 2-night stay, and I couldn't see how to make it better. Being off-grid and powered by solar/battery is a nice touch, with pros/cons as everything is powered by gas or 12v battery; this does enforce a level of "off-gridness" to your stay; I liked it. I made use of the BBQ for a meal, and I visited the Barn (on site) for wood-fired, fresh, pizza on the 2nd night (only open Saturday evenings), very tasty.

Could have done with a few more hooks for hanging stuff, perhaps a small ceiling fan to circulate the air.
