Great Stay

Easy access to the house. Spacious kitchen, living room and bedrooms. The house is well equipped - everything there that we needed. The board game collection was a huge bonus. The closed in garden was great for our dog, there was no sign of any previous dogs being there- which I did worry about prior to booking as this is the first time we booked dog friendly accommodation- people do seem to respect the rules of no dogs on furniture or upstairs. The bedding was all fresh - smelt really lovely!

I would have loved the heating to be on for arrival, however understand it was a late booking. Took a while for downstairs to heat though. The ensuite shower could have done with a more thorough clean. However these things did not affect our stay.

Despite my previous comments we had a good family time together

The outside of the property is in a disgraceful condition, grass not cut hedges badly needing cut lots of rubbish lying around and the patio has not been cleaned in years.

Great house, great hosts.

The house was beautiful, plenty of space for everyone. I loved the kitchen so cosy. Any issues that we had, all I had to do was text the host and they helped us out. Everything you would ever need is under the stairs.

The shower wasn't great but that is the only thing I could complain about.

Brilliant stay in ballycastle

Loved our stay so much! Everything was so clean and the beds were so comfy as my mum had arthritis and had no complaints. The toilets were in perfect working order, gardens were so lovely and were so handy with our sausage dog to let her in and out to pee. Definitely going to stay again! Loved the overall design and interior of the house.

Clean property but wouldn’t stay again mainly due to bathrooms, and location not within easy walking distance to town.

Property was very clean with comfortable beds and a great kitchen.

En-suite unsatisfactory. Cold tap didn’t work. Cistern broken and chain wouldn’t flush always. Booked this property as it had 2 bathrooms and one of our elderly party needed their own bathroom due to health problems so we were very disappointed. Host offered for plumber to call out but we declined as stay was short and didn’t want the hassle. Looking at previous feedback, issues had been raised before therefore should have been fixed before our stay. Baby gate for bottom of stairs also couldn’t be used properly due to missing brackets. Also, there was no normal tv, all apps and streaming only. As we had 2 elderly people in our party they couldn’t operate the tv which was a shame. Also the photos and description of the garden are inaccurate on booking.com and would need updated. Gardens are very neglected.

A cosy, well-located house! We really enjoyed our stay.

We had a great stay! The house was spacious, and the beds were very comfortable. The kitchen was well-equipped, which was perfect for our group of six. The location was also convenient—just a 20-minute walk to the city center. The welcome booklet provided by the hosts was very useful and thoughtfully put together.

There were a couple of small issues (like a bathroom tap and some heating controls not working), but nothing that really affected our stay. The house is cosy and welcoming — thank you!

The house was beautiful. It was fully equipped with extra lightbulbs, bin bags etc...and plenty of cupboard essentials

Was disappointed as the photos of the house must have been taken some time ago.

Good location. Great WiFi, great hob and oven

New kitchen installed but not finished, fridge rocked back and forward. Old appliances left in garden. Other rubbish, including old boxes and broken washing line. Windows had not been cleaned for ages En-suite and bathroom taps did not work Toilets did not flush. We didn’t contact owner during stay as we wanted privacy. Owner wanted us to email her privately about any issues. We didn’t contact owner until the next day when she was able to call a plumber and have the issue fixed within 36 minutes. After reading other reviews I think this has been a problem before. This could be a great house, unfortunately I don’t think the owner takes on board any criticism as issues mentioned in previous reviews haven’t been addressed. The house needs some money spent on it as it’s looking tired and outdated.

Exceptional

A comfortable, spacious house in a great location, a short drive or walk from the beach and Rathlin Island ferry in Ballycastle. An easy drive to the Giant's Causeway and the spectacular Antrim coast. Clodagh's detailed guide to the area was very helpful. The enclosed garden was very safe for our dog.

The premises were not very clean, especially the outlet for the shower in the ensuite was really bad. Several ones of our group even wondered whether the beds were changed The mattresses in the twin room were very cheap that's where I slept, don't know about the other ones) and the plug of the only bedside light in that room was stuck behind the radiator and couldn't be used.

It would have been useful to have a second shower in the bathroom as there were 6 adults and the shower was in the ensuite.

Very comfortable house. Good off-street parking and all basic amenities covered. A perfect stop off for our trip to the Giants Causeway. Very communicative and helpful host.
