Riad Maison 24

The host was warm and welcoming. The Riad was in a great location and was a place of calm. The host gave us plenty of recommendations and we wished we could have stayed longer. Excellent breakfast, a perfect place.

The riad is pretty small but nicely furnished and surrounded by a gorgeous courtyard. Our room was quite small and slightly dark, being on the ground floor, but it had everything we'd need and was fine for a few days. The breakfast was excellent and the woman preparing it was very kind, despite not speaking much English.

During the afternoons and evenings, there was one woman in charge of the place that was just sitting there next to our room in a very unprofessional way. When we asked her for some advice on places to eat on the first night, she just said 'Go to Jemaa el-fna' (that is, the main square). It's not acceptable for a tourist accommodation not to offer clear suggestions, especially since the place was a bit far from the main areas of the medina. Breakfast was also too late (9.00 am) and they didn't offer some packed options when you had to leave early for a tour.

Maison 24 was a good choice for our trip in Marrakech and I really recommend it. The area was really good, close to the main attractions and the riad was easy to find. Our room was nice decorated and clean and we had everything we needed. Also, the team from the read is really helpful and kind.

I have nothing to complain about.

The Riad is well located, just 17 minutes from Jemaa el-Fna Square. It’s quiet and peaceful, making it a good place to rest. The bed was comfortable. The Riad is traditional and cozy, and in the morning you can hear the birds singing, which I found very relaxing. Staff: The lady who welcomed us and prepared our breakfast every day was very kind and attentive. Even though she didn’t speak English, she always made an effort to communicate with us.

Another less friendly lady came to wake us up at 11:00 PM to check us in, demanding that we hand over our passports ( she called the manager so he could explain to us that he needed to make a copy of our passports). In the chat, they told me they could help us with information about tours, but we didn’t meet the manager until the third day. He said he couldn’t give us any recommendations to avoid a conflict of interest, so I recommend organizing everything before traveling. The manager's attitude was a little bit rude. The value for money is not great — the Riad looks better in the photos, and there are better options for the same price. Breakfast isn’t varied; they could at least offer some fruit. The bathroom has no door, the shower didn’t drain properly, and after they removed the drain cover, it smelled bad.
