Perfect restful retreat in beautiful setting, highly recommended.

Great peaceful, quiet and secluded room/location. Excellent shower, well-equipped kitchen space, comfy sofa with large tv, extremely large and comfortable bed, very efficient heating system, exclusive use of wonderfully warm outdoor hot-tub!

Couldn’t get BBC iPlayer etc. to work on the tv but really not a major problem.

Fantastic stay!

We liked everything about this lovely studio property. It was warm, spotlessly clean, lovely location and the hot tub was a great bonus. We were there to take part in an ultra distance running/walking event so used the hot tub twice. Rosemary the host was very welcoming and friendly.

Little getaway in the country

It was quite, out of the way the studio had everything we wanted ☺️ self catering ourselves. It was lovely place to stay and couple was really nice. Me and my partner loved the hot tub 😍. East Budleigh was really nice place to visit ☺️ recommend coming here.

Great Location

Beautiful tranquil location.Great walks straight from your door Didn't use our car once! Accommodation is set within lovely gardens and hot tub was a bonus.Clear instructions re arrival and departure

Found the door very difficult to both open and close to lock definitely needs some attention.Plus steps were quite steep to negotiate with restricted mobility a hand rail would have been beneficial Would have liked somewhere to hang our coats,a small knife for cutting veg etc and another small easy chair would have been great as sofa is quite small

Perfect hot tub stay

Great studio with all the essentials in a quiet village near the Devon coast. Only a couple of miles to the sea and close to Exeter & the M5. Loved the hot tub and Rosemary was very helpful and friendly!

Nice, peaceful, relaxing break with friendly, respectful hosts

The studio was perfect for three nights stay. Even in the grounds of a homely cottage, it was secluded with well kept gardens and the hot tub was a bonus. Must mention how comfortable the bed was.

Two very satisfied guests.

Everything. Having hosts nearby but not intrusive, if we needed anything we knew they were there. The Garden and surroundings are beautiful and friendly pets to give a warm and friendly greeting. Very clean and bed was so comfortable. Private sitting area made a cosy place to enjoy the sunshine and evening bird song.Hot tub was just the thing to unwind. We had a thoroughly relaxing stay. Close to everything we needed, walks beaches and town. We would highly recommend and will return. Thank you to our hosts Rosemary and Ian.

Delightful, peaceful studio with everything you need

Lovely location, super studio, peaceful and quiet with everything we needed. Unfortunately a few days before I had trapped a nerve in my back and was rather incapacitated therefore we couldn't use all the facilities to their best potential

Little bit tricky getting in and out the gates with parked cars either side.

A relaxing retreat in a beautiful part of devon!

This Studio was situated in a beautiful setting in the grounds of a lovely thatched cottage. From the koi carp pool, landscaped gardens and parrot enclosures it was a lovely place to be. The apartment was spotless and very modern with everything you need. With easy access to the river and lots of nature walks available. Having a bus a few minutes walk away meant that the car could be left securely parked up inside a gated drive while we explored the local areas. The Sir Walter Raleigh pub is a 15 minute walk and has amazing local food and ales. The hot tub was clean and well specced, one possible addition could be an outside clock to keep track of time as you relax in the bubbles?

Very relaxing short break!

We loved our stay, Rosemary is a lovely host. We booked skydiving in Honiton which got cancelled on the day, so when we rebook, we will definitely be looking to stay here again! Facilities were 10/10; a little breakfast hamper and milk in the fridge was very thoughtful! The hot tub was a very good feature, easy to use and access! Towels given for showering and the hot tub. Mini shower products and tooth paste were provided. The studio it’s self feels very private. It just has everything you expect and more :)!!! We loved Buster the dog!!

Enjoyable stay for four nights Friendly host who went through the important things on our arrival

The location was great we have family in that area so know that part of Devon very well We enjoyed the use of the Hot tub and the the Gazebo very relaxing after a days sight seeing The bed was very comfortable and large just our cup of tea ! Towels were included for both personal and hot tub use much appreciated

Shower door not flush although was to be attended to The bathroom was comfortable in all aspects The fridge was tiny and the ice box took ages to freeze the ice cubes A larger fridge but a smaller dish washer would work better

Lovely stay in a beautiful setting.

It’s a great studio in a beautiful setting, situated in lovely private gardens. Our host was really welcoming everything we could possibly need was provided. The parrot aviaries were fascinating and it was wonderful having the opportunity to use the hot tub. The property was well located, on the outskirts of East Budleigh and 5 mins drive from Budleigh Salterton’s shops and beach.

Driving in through the gates and parking in the right place in the driveway was a bit tricky, but we got better with practice!

The property was very clean, spacious and had all the facilities needed including towels (showering and hot tub). Hosts Rosemary and Ian were both lovely and welcoming. Garden was beautiful kept.

A slice of heaven!

We stayed at the rose cottage studio over the bank holiday Easter weekend and can’t speak highly enough of the facilities in and around the studio apartment and beautiful location. A one word review would sell it short; as we had everything we needed to cook our own meals and feel like it was a home from home, we genuinely didn’t want to leave! We also greatly enjoyed the hot tub and were made to feel very welcome by Rosemary and Ian. An added bonus was as an animal loving couple we got to know buster the dog and amber and Sasha the two cats (and the parrots!) who greeted us when we would return to our accommodation after exploring the many scenic coastal walks that are near by! We would wholeheartedly recommend the rose cottage to anyone who is looking for superb facilities that allow them explore part of the country that delivers outstanding natural beauty right on your door step.
