Charming open 4bd and screen-in porch! Sleeps 10!

Overall Great rental and no issues of any kind! Host was very communicative! We had 4 men staying for work - no issues with bedrooms, showers, air conditioning, grill... I would go back!

The house was in a convenient location for where the conference our group was attending was located. We enjoyed having a house, rather than having to stay in hotel rooms. I was unable to get any direct communication from the host. There were automated messages that came, but every question I asked was never answered. We had a service animal with us, the Payment charged to us was for a pet. Before we arrived I tried to reach out regarding this issue, I never heard anything back. The instructions about how to/whether to strip the beds before leaving was conflicting. The automated messages I received told us we had to strip the beds. But there was a note on the refrigerator saying “do not” strip the beds. I sent a message requesting clarity, never got a response. Our biggest issue with the house itself was the stairway going to the basement. We had a one year-old in our group. There was no safety gate, no door to block access to the steps, the steps are very steep, there are no spindles from the rail to floor to prevent falls. We had to use the trash can, bar stools, etc to keep baby from gaining access. If the staircase had been safer, and the host had been more communicative, I would probably consider renting the same space each year when we go to conference. However, because of the way everything played out, we have no plans to return to this location.

It was great and nice.

We enjoyed our stay in St Charles. We did have trouble gathering at the house. There were six of us and we weren’t able to all sit and visit comfortably in one spot. The screened in porch needed sprucing up and the gas grill was not working. We needed more paper towels and toilet paper. There was also a need for a bath mat. The house has potential.
