About this apartment rental
Modern apartment with a spacious bedroom, double bed, walk-in wardrobe, work area, and access to a balcony. The property features a living room with air conditioning, sofa bed, cable TV (AppleTV), and a separate dining area. The fully equipped kitchen includes a dishwasher, microwave, washing machine, and tumble dryer. The bathroom has a bathtub. The living room opens onto a balcony with city and sea views, perfect for enjoying a coffee. Maximum capacity: 3 people.
Building amenities: lift, Wi-Fi throughout the flat, and small reserved guest parking outside.
AREA
Located in the city centre, about 600 metres from Funchal Marina, a 2-minute walk from Quinta das Cruzes Museum, Santa Clara’s Church and Convent, Frederico de Freitas House-Museum, and a 5-minute walk from Pico Fortress and the Cathedral. Funchal's Ecological Park is 5 km away, and Madeira International Airport is 14 km away. Close to La Vie shopping centre, restaurants, bars, pastry shops, pharmacies, and other services. The city centre offers various tourist attractions and information about cultural, nature, and adventure activities.
PROPERTY RULES
To ensure a pleasant stay for everyone, we ask that you observe a few simple rules.
• Smoking is not permitted inside the property. A fine of €300 will be charged for non-compliance.
• Parties or events are not permitted.
• Pets are not permitted.
• Please be considerate of your neighbours and keep noise levels down, especially at night.
The property may be equipped with a smart sensor (Minut) that monitors noise, smoke and temperature levels, solely for safety reasons. This system does not record conversations or collect personal data. Should abnormal levels be detected, a member of our team may contact you. You are not permitted to disable, cover or tamper this or any other equipment installed on the property.
In accordance with Portuguese law, all guests must present valid identification for registration purposes.
Municipal tourist tax (when applicable):
€2.00 per person/night for guests aged 13 and above, up to a maximum of 7 nights (€14.00 per person per stay). A payment link will be sent prior to arrival.
Check-in must be scheduled in advance. If it is not arranged at least 48 hours beforehand, check-in will be subject to our team’s availability.
Check-in: from 16:00 | Check-out: by 12:00
Early check-in and late check-out are subject to availability and an additional charge.
By confirming your reservation, all guests agree to our house rules and accommodation conditions.
OTHER NOTES
All bed linen and towels are provided. We can also provide, free of charge, a baby travel crib, high chair and baby bath upon request before check-in. Requests made less than 48 hours before arrival may be subject to an additional fee. All properties are equipped with a first aid kit, fire extinguishers and a fire blanket.
For stays of 8 nights or more, a mid-stay service is provided, including the replenishment of bed linen, towels and consumables only. This service is not included for shorter stays. Additional cleaning services during your stay are available on request at an extra charge.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this apartment. It was really well located, a short walk from everything we needed in Funchal. It even has a parking space, which is a rarity! Communication was great and check in and out were very easy. We would highly recommend both the apartment and An Island Apart and would definitey stay here again if we return to Funchal!

We absolutely loved our stay here. We had a warm welcome upon arrival and the apartment exceeded our expectations.It is really more spacious than the photos suggest and the views of Funchal and the harbour are incredible. It was also nice to have a brand new shower room which wasn't shown on the photos at the time we booked.Having a parking space was a great bonus - but we'd echo what previous guests have said and advise that you only bring a small car as it takes some skilful manoeuvring to get into!The location was superb and a short walk for us into central Funchal and the sea front. A fabulous base for exploring beautiful Funchal, but also for staying in and watching from the living room as the cruise ships come in and out of the harbour. We can't wait to go back!

Great location, close to downtown, local churches, shopping. Parking is a big plus for those who like to travel around.

The location of the apartment was perfect walking distance to many amazing restaurants, stores, and the water and port. The appliances worked out great for us, we made dinner multiple nights, and the balcony had amazing views. The parking was tight but doable, recommend a smaller car.
