Lovely post-war historic home in midtown phoenix: get away from it all in the middle of the city! Bright, sunny spacious house surrounded by amazing 0.33 acre yard with desert landscaping available for month or longer rental. The yard is like a small botanical garden with a professional nature mural on the back walls. House is situated on a quiet street with minimal noise. Walking distance to Encanto Park (swimming, tennis, bike paths) and local golf course. Walking distance to local coffee shop/bar, Italian food, and hamburger joint and more. Close to more than a dozen major medical providers in Phoenix. 1.2 miles to Phoenix light rail station on Thomas/Central Ave; 2-5 miles to downtown and midtown art/science/history museums; 4.5 miles to Chase field/Diamondbacks ballpark. House has seven spacious rooms furnished with a gorgeous mix of contemporary and vintage furniture. There are two bedrooms plus a den (can be used as a third bedroom or workspace). High speed Internet with wifi. Covered patio with outdoor dining and relaxing areas. Hot tub to enjoy during cool desert mornings and evenings. Gas BBQ on back patio. Huge kitchen with stone countertops that is well stocked with appliances and cookware. 31 night minimum rental.

We stayed at Alice and Larry's for 2.5 months and loved it. It's in a great central location in a quiet neighbourhood but with close access to everything the city has to offer. Another couple visited us and there is more than enough room for two couples to be comfortable. The house is spacious and seems larger than the pictures actually present. It has everything you would need for a long visit and is very well equipped. The back yard is truly an oasis and we spent a great deal of time there watching the many birds. Alice and Larry are wonderful hosts and new friends. We will definitely stay here again when we return to Phoenix. It was by far the best place we have rented in Phoenix.
