About this cottage rental
Relax with the family at this quiet place to stay. Nestled in the woods, enjoy the fire pit in the evenings, roasting hot dogs and marshmallows. Close to Carle and OSF Hospital. Weekly/Monthly discount!! Centrally located to multiple state parks- Forest Glen, Kickapoo, Kennekuk, Turkey Run, Shades, etc. Enjoy a day riding ATV’s at the Bad Lands. Fishing is great at many local ponds, rivers, and lakes. Enjoy seeing wild life in the backyard. A close drive to Indianapolis and to many Amish areas! Up to two small dogs (20 pounds and under) are welcome for an additional fee of $125.
Nestled in the woods, this cottage has a creek in the backyard for kids to play and have fun! Inside there are two bedrooms and one bathroom. The master bedroom has a queen size bed. The second bedroom has two sets of bunk beds, twin over twin and twin over full. The living room offers seating for everyone, along with an additional dining room table. The large kitchen has enough space for the family to enjoy an evening of cooking together.
Only 10 minutes south of i74 and just a few minutes north of Forest Glen Nature Preserve, along with many other parks nearby. Shop the local grocery store and CVS pharmacy for all of your needs during your stay. The cottage is also 30 miles east of the University of Illinois and 90 minutes west of Indianapolis. So many things to do!
On the day of your arrival, you will receive a unique code. The keypad is located on the back door of the cottage. This will serve as your “key” to the cottage during your stay.
The cottage has a large driveway, big enough to park trailers or RVs in. There are two outbuildings on the property for parking ATVs. Plenty of space for hunters to process their harvest.
The cottage is located on a paved road. There are not too many neighbors, so you are pretty secluded!
Just a few great local places to eat, Beef House Restaurant, Gross Burgers, Mike’s Grill, La Potosina, and The Covered Bridge Restaurant, as well as many national chains. Early checkin and late checkout are available upon request for a cost of $50/half hour.

What a wonderful place! Our property manager was excellent. Kept us updated before and at Check In. The home was beautifully decorated, well lighted and extremely comfortable. The beds were very comfortable. We could not have had a better experience. We had a small issue with the internet but the owner came immediately and solved the problem. Just excellent customer service! We will definitely go back and highly recommend this beautiful home to anyone.

We lived in Vermilion co til 2007. Lots of family / friends still live here. So when we get together it can be very chaotic. We knew we wanted a place to stay that offered country setting accessible to Danville yet quiet. This location was ideal for us! Host was accessible...cottage was very cozy& clean.

This place was just as cute in person as it was on the listing! It was just outside of town in a rather quiet place. Was just what my family needed for a quick stay due to a family funeral. Will keep this place in mind to use first when coming back to visit family and would definitely recommend this to local family to have their family and friends use when visiting the area!
