About this bed and breakfast

Sneak your way into our private guesthouse and enjoy the view from a sun-drenched second story greenhouse inspired bedroom. You'll have a private entrance, a kitchen & bathroom on the first floor. Situated on a quiet street, we are one block from Sligo Creek trail and a ten minute walk to downtown Takoma Park.

We look forward to welcoming you and your family! We live in the "main house" on the property so will be just a phone call or knock away for anything you may during your stay.

If you are strictly looking for value this property works. We rated it good because technically nothing is wrong with the property and it is convenient to the redline if you are looking to have good access to DC. Why good overall not great: the surrounding property is shabby and unkempt. In our unit specifically, the kitchen sink was not fastened and loose. The bathroom sink was 90% slow verging clogged. Being a homeowner - this just felt run down and the main property which you have to walk by is lacking TLC. So if you don’t mind appearances as you enter and you are only there to sleep and eat (which we were) it works fine. Go for it. In “hotel speak” it’s a Motel 6 or Super 8.

We spent a day and half without hot water but when contacted the owner responded immediately. The huge demerit goes to only providing cheaper than cheap single ply TP!!! Huge yuck factor!
