This home does not have any ground-floor bedrooms.
Irrigation work is underway and scheduled to complete by the end of April 2023. Buildings 12, 13, 14, 15, and 19 will be close to the construction. Expect associated noise and dust. Additional irrigation work will start in October or Nov of 2023, with no projected end date. Buildings 16, 17, 18, 20, 22, and 23 will be impacted.
The Makai pool will be closed for construction starting the second week of April 2023 and is expected to last until July.
This rental is managed by Vacasa Vacation Rentals of Hawaii, LLC.
Parking notes: There is free parking available for 1 vehicle.
Damage waiver: The total cost of your reservation for this Property includes a nightly damage waiver fee, plus tax if applicable (the “Damage Waiver”). (A discount may be applied for stays of 28 nights or longer, if permitted.) The Damage Waiver covers you for up to $3,000 of accidental damage to the Property or its contents (such as furniture, fixtures, and appliances) as long as you report the incident to the host prior to checking out. The Damage Waiver fee eliminates the need for a traditional security deposit.

We were only there 4 days but it was great. When we left our beach towels management made a great effort to return them to us.

We visit Waikaloa every Christmas break and always stay at the Colony Villas. We love the location! This property is good and needs a little bit of attention to make it great. First, the pros: Great beds, updated master bath, great location. Cons: there is something off with the plumbing. There is this awful noise emanating from the hall bathroom. We promptly reported it to Vacasa and they sent a lovely individual who advised us that there was nothing he could do because there is air in the pipe. The noise made it hard to sleep for some of us. Also, in the same bathroom, the bath tub was slow to drain which made it very annoying for folks using that bathroom.Finally, the dishwasher needs to be replaced because it does not do a good job cleaning and we had to run the same load multiple times.

Condo was nice and clean but there was no extra toilet paper or paper towels. We had to wait about 5 hours for them to bring extra supplies. The toilet was also making a high pitched whistling which we had to wait for two days to get fixed because there is no maintenance on the weekend. Luckily, we had ear plugs but it was pretty annoying.
